Don't get me wrong, the game was amazing. But the length kind of ridicules,? I just finished it, and its under 5 hours. I thought, this was supposed to be the full version of the 2 hour one in the orange box. But it really didn't feel like it. It felt like a half the game was tutorial and then half the time in really easy puzzles. Just as the difficulty started to increase it was over (same as the original). The only thing this one doesn't seem to have is the bonus extra hard levels. Its a shame I guess. Haven't tried co-op but I dont think this game is worth 60 bucks, or a stand alone sale.
Portal 2
Game » consists of 20 releases. Released Apr 19, 2011
Portal 2 is the sequel to the acclaimed first-person puzzle game, carrying forward its love of mind-bending problems and its reckless disregard for the space-time continuum.
5 hours really?
Took 10 hours to beat it.. I bought it for 45 on steam.. if you pay 60$ then is your own fault. if it took you less then 6hours then you didn't take the time to look around and enjoy what valve made and you didn't stay long enough to listen to all the dialogue which to mean justified buying it since i was laughing half the time i was playing. Also if you wait for this to get to 10$ then you are missing out as this was tons of fun with co-op being a great add
wow. just solidified my decision to buy Mortal Kombat and SOCOM 4 instead.
" It's a good length, but man I wish there were more more-complex levels in it. But that's what DLC and the community is for! "Yeah dude, when steam releases the Portal 2 editing tools crazy shit will happen.
Like another poster above, I'm over five hours and I'm on Chapter 7. Haven't touched co-op or listened to the commentary yet either.

Also, theres not much to really explore, all of the puzzles are very linear and very short. With the new design of the testing chambers, there is almost no portal walls, so with a quick glance around the room to see where the portal walls are, you know instantly how to solve it. its almost as if someone is telling you the answer to each puzzle. The game also seems to correct your portal angles, so even aiming doesn't matter much.

"... when this game is out on steam for like 10 bucks we can all enjoy this holiday season! "That seems completely likely to me. I can wait.

" @LackLuster said:I get annoyed when people tell me im playing a game wrong. If the rooms are designed so simple to not encourage exploration is it really my fault? The developers never give you a tool or a portal wall that wont be used. So within 20 seconds you know pretty much how to complete the puzzle. That sort of environment does not encourage exploration or out of the box thinking or even "thinking with portals"." Quality justifies price not length "And this game has quality. Also, between co-op and single player I've racked up over nine hours so far. If you don't take time to absorb things and just blast through all the chambers, of course it'll be short. "
