The guys form the physics department of the University of Nottingham talk about Portal 2 and, wormholes and the physics behind all this:

EDIT:  They released a bonus video with extra content in which Prof Moriarty discusses conservation of momentum and differantial equations.

A block of pure solid geek gold! It's pretty interesting to watch.

Also reassuring to see the game running on a laptop.

Being a physics student I find this kinda stuff fascinating and I've thought alot about the science aspect of Portal 2, pretty good video

Also I want that whiteboard that the guy has behind him :D

So what I get from this is the portal gun harnesses the power of a billion stars. Yay science!

Wow, inteesting shit. Tried to study physics up until university but was pretty hopeless at it!

Poor guy, he can only play the game at like 10 frames per second.

But look how much fun he's having! He even talked about moving forward and backward. Can you imagine not playing a game since Pong then following it up 30 years later with Portal 2?

So they aren't making repulsion gel?

Well as they say, if there are time paradoxs to time travel, it's simple, there are two of you there, doubles. Also since you can change things, creating a time paradox, that means there are alternate universes at the same time with different scenarios like the t.v show sliders. So in a way, it might be possible and we should disregard the term time paradox and use alternate universe. They are only limited to 4th dimensional thinking of our known universe. But still cool video.

@HitmanAgent47: You suppose the new world order is working on a time machine?

Dude is super stoked about the recoil on the portal gun.  It would probably break his heart if you explained the concept of animations to him.

From a gamer's perspective I'm cringing at how he's playing with a touchpad at what looks like 10fps.

The way he got excited about movement of your character or the recoil of your gun kinda freaked me out at the end.

@Green_Incarnate:

They released a bonus video with extra content in which Prof Moriarty discusses conservation of momentum and differantial equations. I put it here and in the first post:
