Ahmet bin Bayezid an Ottoman Prince and the eldest son of Sultan Bayezid II. He was also Selim I and Korkut's older brother and the uncle of Suleiman I. He was chosen to be heir to the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire until his father eventually chose Selim over Ahmet. In Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Ahmet joins the Templar Order and becomes Grand Master of the Byzantine Rite. With this newfound power, Ahmet seeks out to find the Masayaf Keys in Constantinople and discover the hidden library in Masayaf. Ahmet believed that he'd learn where the "Grand Temple" was and use its power to give the Templars their ultimate victory over the Assassins. However, Ezio and the Assassins thwart Ahmet's plans and Ahmet is killed by his brother Selim. Before throwing Ahmet off of a cliff, Selim reveals that Bayezid chose Selim to be the next Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, not Ahmet.
Plot to Abduct His Nephew
When Ezio first meets Ahmet, it is at a cultural exhibition where the young Prince Suleiman I was in attendance. Little did Suleiman know that Templars had planned to abduct him at that exhibition. Ahmet's plan was to have the Byzantines abduct Suleiman, and then Ahmet would save the young prince and emerge as a hero. However, Ezio and the Assassins end up thwarting this plan at the exhibition. To which Ahmet proceed to berate the Ottoman general Tarik Barleti over his failure to protect Suleiman. Ahmet and Tarik's arguments led Ezio and Suleiman to believe that Tarik was a traitor to the Ottomans. However, when Ezio kills Tarik it is revealed that this wasn't the case.
