I Wish I had a Choice at the End 0

This was my first time playing a Prince of Persia game. It was a good game. I just wished that it was much more challenging though. There weren't that many enemies and the bosses were mediocre. One thing that I found absolutely beautiful was the games environment. Absolutely beautiful. Of course, I loved the fact of the before and after results. Stunning and breath taking. Some people have liken this to Assassin's Creed and rightfully so. As our Prince climbs around, it's very similar to Assassi...

A greatly enjoyable game that is probably best rented not bought 0

Another re-boot of the classic platforming Prince of Persia series, once again courtesy of Ubisoft, this iteration is in many ways similar to Ubisoft Montreal's 2007 release Assassin's Creed, and not just because it runs on effectively the same engine. Both games feature linear levels within sprawling open worlds, both are extremely well presented with jaw-dropping locations and beautiful scenery, and both suffer from flaws which prevent it from reaching it's full potential. The conversion from t...

Looks are only skin deep 3

This game looks great. That is a fact. But what of the story? What of the challenge? The motivation? When you start playing, its as if you were dropped in the middle of the story and you never really know how you got there in the first place.  Sure you could say you were a fish out of water, but I would say you were more like an American prankster in the wrong place (Persia) at the wrong time (6th century?). The character just feels ridiculous in a bad way.The prince feels more like that guy, you...

Prince of Persia looks nice, but borrows a lot from better games 0

Ubisoft's last "Prince of Persia" trilogy was generally pretty fun but many criticized the darker tone the last two chapters took on, longing for a fun and light-hearted adventure like they had in "Sands of Time". Those people will have their wish at least partially granted in the latest entry in the series, simply titled "Prince of Persia" (though the protagonist is not established as being royalty or from Persia, but whatever). This latest entry seeks to distance itself from the past trilogy, ...

    PoP: MY review 0

One of my favorite game series has been the "Prince of Persia". I played the so called original on a SNES. I remember how good I felt when I finished that game, learning to control the Prince back then was difficult. Due to the animation style, you had to press the jump button almost an entire second before you jumped. To me, the controls became second nature after a slight learning curve. Shocking to find out that all these years later, I had to relearn the controls to a Prince of Persia game. ...

Play with Prince and his girlfriend in a boring amusement park 0

This new Prince of Persia isn't like its predecessors in a lot of different ways. The bigest problem that i found in it, especially compared to another modern platformers like Tomb Raider and the older games of the franchise is the lack of environmental puzzles and how absurd the level design was. It also fatures a different art style. In previous games you had to try to figure out a way to proceed in some spots and some ability with the controls was required. Any mistake made could be corrected ...

    Short, but incredibly sweet... 0

There have a plethera of changes to the PoP series, but sometimes, change is good and in this case, change is freak'n awesome. Although many people will be turned off by these changes, both hardcore and casual gamers will be able to enjoy this next chapter in Prince of Persia saga. For one thing, the graphics are absolutely stunning! Every towering palace, every corrupted minion, and every lush green tree is just unbelievably good looking. In addition to the environment, the Prince's sword swings...

For the visual presentation alone, 'Prince of Persia' is worth it 0

Prince of Persia–like Batman Begins or Casino Royale in the film department–is a reboot of a series that has been around since 1989, but most notably throws out the characters and story elements featured in the Sands of Time trilogy, which began just a little over five years ago. This reboot features an all-new Prince. This time around, the Prince isn’t a prince at all, but is instead an adventurer who has lost his thousands-of-gold carrying donkey when he has a chance encounter with a young princ...

    This game is wonderful. 0

This game is wonderful. The beautiful visuals are always so, and mesmerizing those times when it essentially feels like you're watching concept art in motion. Ubisoft presents a fantastical world where the striking visuals convey an atmosphere that is positively sparkling with ethereal magic. The Prince may not be a perfectly natural fit for a world like this, he's basically Nathan Drake's more fashionable brother. But you know, Nathan Drake was a likeable guy. Elika has more gravitas, providing...

Prince of Persia returns with a new prince and epic story+ Fun exploration elements+ Easy Accessibility for all + Well Designed Story- Not Very Challenging- Frustrating Combat Moments- Must take breaks from main objectives to collect objects in order to progress Although this game is titled Prince of Persia, you are not playing as the original prince from sands of time. You play as a new prince,  whose original goal in the beginning of the game is to find Farah, his donkey, not Farah from the ot...

    A great new start 0

In 2002, Ubisoft rebooted the Prince of Persia series with Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. It was criticly hailed as one of the best games of the last gen consules thanks to it’s great control, incredible graphics, unique platforming, and the ability to rewind time. There were 2 more games while not as good, but still great. For the next-gen consules, Ubisoft reboots the series yet again with Prince of Persia. The Story of the Prince of Persia tells that the Prince is now a thief. When he goes ...

Hot chick saves day, ruins game. 0

Long, long ago when there were still American arcades that were not dominated by emo Dance Dance gangs and broken down Street Fighter machines, I remember stumbling across Dragon’s Lair. I was a child, and therefore not terribly bright, but I remember being completely transfixed, staring at the demo screens for ages before dropping in the previously unheard of fee of two quarters to play. It didn’t matter that the game was the equivalent of navigating a modern day DVD menu, it was a cartoon and...

Aside from the grating dialogue, Prince of Persia is great. 0

In the gaming world, many games earn the status of ALMOST perfect. Often, a game will have several great factors that could add up to perfection if not for a few minor flaws. No game demonstrates this better than the latest Prince of Persia. The cheesy story and minor platforming issues keep the new Prince of Persia from being an otherwise perfect game. The game’s first flaw comes up even before buying the game: the Limited Edition that came with pre-ordering from GameStop. It comes with a bonus...

My first Prince of Persia. 0

As someone who has never played a Prince of Persia game, I went into playing this game with literally no expectations. I came out pleasantly surprised. Graphically this game is flat out stunning. It has a very beautiful and unique style to the game that is sort of cell-shaded but not quite. You will continually have your breath taken away by the different areas in the game. The game play is really enjoyable at first but can become somewhat tedious later on as you do the same things over and over...

    i never die 0

i am a big fan of the prince of persia series...and really i have to give a huge pat on the back to Ubisoft Montreal for completely changing a amazing francise..its a very risky move..i know a lot of people are probably thinking its a really really bad idea..but they do a very good job with Prince of Persia..its kinda rare..when you rewrite a francise and its good..in the old PoP they sent like 6-10 guys at a time at you..but in the new PoP..you get only one at a time..and most of the time you c...

Micro-Review: True to its roots with a surprise ending. 0

A beautiful game with a soundtrack that is good but not very deep. Personally I have never been a huge fan of POP gameplay in general and I quickly found most of the platform puzzles boring. And ohh those damn yellow plates pissed the hell out of me.   The overall mechanics of the game are very good, if not a bit overcomplicated at times.  The story, which appears fairly thin at first glance takes a nice twist at the end that not only throws you for a loop at face value, but is even more intri...

Story aside, this title will rock your world. 0

Prince of Persia, simply put, is one of the most beautiful games of this console generation. It is also a serviceable platformer. If this is everything you look for in a game, the new PoP absolutely deserves a rent, (and if you don't mind its short length, maybe even a purchase.) If you also require engaging story, however, you may be disappointed in this title. Prince of Persia is the forth title in the series to appear on consoles, and the first to show up on the Xbox360 and Playstation3. It...

    An enthralling experience. 0

Introduction: Prince of Persia is an acrobatic platformer, developed by Ubisoft Montreal. The premise of the game is simple: Ahriman, the God of darkness, has been freed from his prison and corrupted the land. The Prince(whose real name never is revealed in the game), along with the magic-wielding princess Elika, must heal the land and reimprison Ahriman.      Good Stuff: Beautiful Prince of Persia is a beautiful game, in every sense of the word. While the cel-shaded graphics aren't particularly...

Great looking game thats easy to play but is extremely repetitive 0

Description     Prince of Persia is a video game that was released for the PS3, Xbox 360, and Microsoft windows on December 2 of 2008.  Prince of Persia was developed by Ubisoft Montreal and was also published by Ubisoft.  It is an Action-Adventure game that is set in ancient Persia.  Here in Persia in the center of the city lies the Temple, where the king and his daughter Elika live.  Also the Temple acts as a prison cell for the evil god Ahriman.  Ages ago Ahriman was imprisoned there by his...

A good game but way too repetitive 0

While being a good game, I found Prince of Persia to be incredibly repetitive. The objectives are straight forward, take your character to a certain point and as per the story “heal” the cursed land (by pressing a button). In order to get to the certain point you have to run, jump, slide and just generally parkour your way acrobatically across a beautiful art style landscape, with a boss fight when you reach the destination. And then you do it again, and again, for a total of 20 times.I kid you n...

    Prince of Persia Review 0

I've played all of the past Prince of Persia games in the series so naturally I was pretty excited for the release of the new Prince of Persia. The graphics have a good quality, though you should never buy games based solely on graphics. For the most part, I liked the game. It felt a little repetitive, much like Assassin's Creed, but overall I had a lot of fun owning boss fights and ninja-ing around. A few of the puzzles were kind of dull, which took away from the game a bit because quite honest...

    Recaptured Charm 0

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time was easily one of my favorite games of last-gen. It had so much charm and charisma that my expectation for the series since then has been astronomically high. PoP: Warrior Within and PoP: Two Thrones were both decent games, but don’t even come close to comparing to Sands of Time. For some reason, even after being let down by both titles, my expectations for the 360 installment of PoP were just as high. To get to the point, I guess I can say it almost hit them.Let ...

Boring, repetitive, and has awful writing. Skip it. 0

I didn't play the Sands of Time trilogy so this is really my first ever Prince of Persia game so all I knew going into it was that it was an open-world platformer that was quite easy. And even with those low expectations going in, I was disappointed.Firstly, the writing. Both the writing and the voice acting make it feel like it was written by the same kind of person who wrote Friends. It's cliched, annoying, and not funny. I ended up just turning the sound straight down and listening to my own...

    Boring and Simple. 0

Prince of Persia is back, but is it the same great game just like the others had to offer or is it 2 steps short of average. To start my disappointing review over a disappointing game it's not as good as critic's say it was, of course it was just paid ads. The story starts out you coming out as the prince traveling through the sahara desert and you run into a female that is being chased by guard's trying to capture her well surprising she is a princess escaping from her dad's castle because she ...

Bullet Point Review: Prince of Persia (XB360) 0

What I liked: Graphics - I'm not gonna lie to you, I love cell shaded graphics in a game. Furthermore I love the graphics here in PoP. Their simply stunning. Humor - You know how in some games the producers try and force humor and it falls flat on it's face? Thankfully that's not the case here. True, you're not gonna fall off your couch while playing PoP, but the humor between the Prince and Eleka (your female companion) is handled nicely. Music - The music in PoP feels like it came straight fr...

    Pretty but hollow 0

This is the first review I've written I think... ever. That should tell you about how conflicted about this game I am.  First of all I'd like to state and explain all the things I liked about Prince of Persia. It's great to look at. Seriously, it looks great. Great it looks. Even after... almost exactly a year from release it stands up as a game that visually if released for this holiday season, would stay on par. As you can tell from video and pictures the art style and fluidity of the animatio...

Prince of Persia - A Good Video Game 0

The new Prince of Persia is a good, mainstream video game released in 2008. Considering how many components there are in a contemporary big budget game this is an impressive feat, and understandably rare.. The game doesn't do anything revolutionary (unless you count the fact that you can not die). It meets  the requirements of a contemporary, mainstream video game: beautiful polygon based graphics, competent (sometimes charming) voice work, good character design and development, good sound desig...

    Prince or Moron? 0

A beautiful cell shaded look and interesting new direction fail to mask the inadequacies of the gameplay, script and design. Clearly using the same engine as the equally mixed Assassins Creed, the acrobatic gameplay is marred by floaty imprecise controls that fail to engage the player. The combat isn’t much better with little to communicate actions and an awkward block-&-parry system. The story and characters are shoehorned into the semi-open-world and fail to convey any sense of a "Persian"...

A Bit Easy, but Wow It's Fun 0

The Prince series returns after an epic rebirth in the previous generation. Dumping the emo nonsense that was the only real issue with the last gen series, Ubi takes the Prince back to his roots. Though, in this case, the prince is more of a vagabond, who is looking for his missing donkey that is laden with gold. He runs into Elika, a princess and wizard who is out to remove the corruption from her land that has taken over much of the land physically and taken over many of the people.The...

    A great concept 0

This game is not about shooting you enemies or getting the biggest combos (though there is a very minor part of that in here).  It's about acrobatics... simply put, your character is an Urban Ninja, jumping around and climbing walls trying to get to the next way point.  If you are looking for an easy going game with nothing more than well timed button pushing, than this game is for you.   Admittedly, this is the first Prince of Persia game I've played, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.  It was a nice...
