There is a b-movie called bill's gunshop that you should check out. Its about a guy, gun geek not unlike many gamers, he gets a job at bills gunshop and blah blah blah they say "pray for gun control" he asks why and they say that whenever guncontrol is enacted sales go through the roof.

personally i have no respect for the NRA, being the pinko commie faggot that i am and them being the psycho money obsessed fascists, but they do offer an interesting sociological dynamic. they scream "second ammendment infringement" and all the good little republicans think that big brother is going to come down and steal thier guns. Just like any lobby, tobacco, pharma, medical insurance, automanufaturers, the NRA isnt looking out for the rights of the people (you) they're pushing for legislation that advances the causes and profits of their clients (gun manufatuers and distributors). this combined with the status of corporations being the same as citizen means that its possible that the money you pay in taxes and in gun sales goes straight to the manufature of assault arms that are sold to forgien powers (gov and gangs alike).

dont get me wrong. i like guns, i believe whole heartedly that you should be able to own any semi-automatic "lead thrower" in a way thats regulated similar to the way cars are purchased. anything more should be heavily regulated and taxed. I dont own a gun, i've never shot a gun, i have been drawn down on and if you havnt believe me when i say that it is the scariest moment of your life. your brain shuts down and the end of the barrel looks like its a mile across. i have a healthy respect for guns and an equally healthy respect for people that use them as tools. this respect falls short however for those that firearms have become an obsession and consider them to be a staple of daily life.  its nothing personal dude, im sure youre a great guy, im sure your dad is a fun guy to go drinking with but i think you hit on something when you said that you have enough guns already. everything within reason. Obama isnt going to take away everyones guns. he made a billion promises, and in the immortal words of Raptor Jesus "HE AIN'T DONE SHIT!"
