I can't get my head around why anyone would like final fantasy 7 remake. It has all the cringey, pernicious, sexist, racist and homophobic tropes of the worst anime I have ever seen. Yet, people I KNOW to be in complete opposition to those things praise this shit pile to no end.
It's legitimately an embarrassing game to have on tv.
I actually think less of people who endorse this game. I've never been more regretful of a purchase in my life.
The problem with this era of Giantbomb is not that they're too negative or critique too much, but rather they're pretentious about it.
This has been one of the reasons I don't watch many of their videos and why I stopped subbing to them. I just listen to the podcast until I can't take it and turn it off.
I mean, Jeff went on a 10 min. rant, that could be summed with: 'Nintendos' next mario game will either be good or bad, according to me'. The amount of fucking pretense was crazy.
I really like Alex, but sometimes he can be so pretentious. Doom: Eternal is considered to be an excellent game, Alex. Just because no one you "know" is in to it, doesn't make it bad.
