To be honest, they are more a case study in viral/offbeat marketing than a game design company. Like the hole thing, they literally got people to pay for their marketing campaign. It's brilliant, but it's just manipulating people on the internet who should know better; people value being part of some internet zeitgeist than their money.
This wasn't the the real Dan anyway. This is just Venom Dan, a game informer intern brainwashed to believe he was the legendary journalist Big Dan. The real Big Dan is busy in Africa building New Giantbombland, a nation of free writers fighting for a never ending console war.
