I think the site looks a little too busy, at the front page you immediately get three columns of stuff to look at, and it's a little overwhelming. It doesn't help that they are the same size so your eye is not drawn to a main list. Other than it looks like Polygon/every other video game website designed in the last year, though I much prefer Polygon as it looks so much cleaner.
Well I thought it was like a 7-8/10 at the time and still do. Anyway, I think a part of it is that things that are done well in games are often invisible or hard to articulate, such as clever level design that never leaves the player lost or the intricacies of a good combat loop as two basic examples. On the other hand it is real easy to pick out a bug or a small plot flaw and blow it up out of proportion.
@manicraider: Totally, I will read almost anything Post-Apocalyptic.
I think my favourite lore would be Metro 2033. That book has such a great, ultra-grim tone and a brilliant sense of place, and I really dig that extra bit of supernatural stuff he flavours it with. I can't wait for the full translation of 2034 to come out on Amazon.
I just tried to get online and it failed to connect. So I get kicked out to single player where I immediately get a very spoilery phone call. So watch out if you haven't finished the game yet, do not answer Dr Friendlander's texts.
You sure it is not story related? because there is some stuff happening that... Lets just say stuff is happening^^
Well, when I got kicked back to the single player I started as Micheal waking up in his house, the phone call talks about him kidnapping someone wife and him living in a trailer in a desert. I'm just after the mission where Trevor and Micheal dress a cops to steal the cars. I guess it could be explained away later in the conversation as a dream or something but I didn't want to risk it so I just quit out.
