lol the spinning head seems so appropriately creepy. If I get this game, it probably won't be until after the patches.

Personally, I wasn't a fan of ME and I didn't finish it, but I do think some of the story will be important for ME2. It will still be enjoyable, but you'll have less knowledge on what's going on and who's who. I think it will be fine though, ME2 is a great game and a lot of fun to play.

I was going to make a post about Boneshaker, but this is recent enough (well okay, two weeks old) that I'll just post here.

I've been reading it for the past few days and it's awesome! I've never considered myself a steam punk fan (I like it in passing but have never had any particular affinity for it) but this book is amazing. I can't wait to read the others in the series.

Other than that I haven't been doing a ton of reading. I have the new Old Republic book that I checked out from work so I might read that.

I'm not a super fan of vehicular exploration, buuut if they can make a vehicle that I don't hate using I'd be all for it. I would definitely like to have more detailed worlds to explore, ME2 felt a little small in that respect. I think the quantity of weapons were pretty good in ME2, but it'd be cool to be able to get more armor components. I enjoyed being able to mix and match my own armor but the options were pretty limited. It would also be neat to see a weapon customization in the same manner.

Start neutral, Wrex died, Council died, opposite gender LI lives. I never actually finished ME (I know, right?) so I went with default Shep. I never felt like I was missing out aside from Wrex being dead.

What were the games that she wasn't interested in?

Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain, and Mass Effect 2 are all pretty fun to watch because they're so cinematic. I've watched Personas 4 all the way through as well as FFXIII, and despite the hours of grinding (I would just read or something for those parts) I'd be really invested in the story even though I wasn't interested in playing them. The Soul Calibur or Mortal Kombat games are also kind of ridiculous entertaining sometimes, and easy to jump in and play.

Ouch! I've only had major surgery to remove all four impacted wisdom teeth (which is way less intrusive compared to yours) so I can't really relate. It wasn't fun, but all I did was sleep and cry (I couldn't take any pain medication because they make me sick) for a week until it healed.

I hope you recover quickly! High-five for non cancerous lymph nodes.

Nah, I think you're in the right. I think it would have been a crappier move if he had already started playing it, but he hadn't touched it yet so what does it matter to him? If he was invested in it already, man, that would suck, but you're still allowed to take your stuff back.
He isn't entitled to your things. You're being nice and letting him use them for free. You're doing HIM a favor by lending him $60 games, so he has no right to be a baby over it. And to be honest, it was for a  game deal, right? You probably would have let him borrow whatever game you bought with the other one if he asked.
