seriously kiddos, ocarina will always be great.  it's your problem that you can't see it - and for that I feel sorry for you bunch.  The game is and always will be a classic. 
 
I can't wait to drink your tears when 2021 dirtbag preteens are hating on God of War or Call of Duty or whatever other shitty games your know-it-all generation clings to.

Thanks for the helpful replies everyone.  I've been playing Twilight Princess, for the first time, in 480p glory on my new used Wii.  480p makes a pretty significant difference in visual quality.

Hello, I want to play some of my favorite gamecube games (I already own) in 480p.  As I understand it, my options are either buying a GC component cable or buying a Wii. 
 
On ebay these days component cables are 80-100 whereas a used wii is 100.  Here's the question: 
 
If I go with a Wii with component cables, will I be able to play Twilight Princess/Wind Waker in 480p?  Wil rumble and everything work?  Will I see slowdown of any kind?  And is 480p the max resolution I can get? 
 
I'm a total Wii noob.  I did some research on wikipedia but am a little lost.  Help me nintendo experts, you're my only hope!

I'm working my way through the Forest Temple with the monkeys;  this game is certainly charming in the Zelda-way.  The wolf stuff wasn't too too bad so far.  
 
So far I prefer the art style of WW - I think it looks cleaner at SD resolution.  But that being said, I think TP looks great.

This seems like an odd question. It's the same Zelda game they've been re-releasing for years. The formula was about a decade old when it was released, so a couple of years could hardly make any difference. I suspect it plays out exactly like all of the others do and exactly like the next one will. The Zelda games would have to improve and evolve for one to suddenly feel dated.  It's obviously dated in a graphical sense, but no more so than the newest Wii games are. All in all, I can't see how there would be any difference between playing the game today and playing it when it was released. You know exactly what it is and how it plays.

I recommend making this post after buying the console.

Hey guys, I'm 28 and haven't played Twilight Princess yet.  I have the opportunity to buy it used for a good price and was wondering - is this game worth playing?  I love Ocarina and I liked Wind Waker.  Link to the Past is probably my favorite. 
 
Will I enjoy TP?
