I think it's unfortunate because the aesthetic of the Miis is so bland. They look terrible! Nintendo has so much fantastic art that would scale down to a simple game, but we get Miis. I'd be happy if it was a Tomodachi Life sort of thing, but I'm sure that's asking a lot.

I've attempted to get back into this a few times now, but every time I do I'm just lost in terms of what abilities to use and how to engage with enemies in the game. I had a level thirty-something Jedi Consular healer who was using the lizard NPC as a tank, but it makes re-entering the game nigh impossible. I really don't want to start all the way at the beginning and replay those planets though.

I want Austin to play and then sing the praises to the one audience member chomping at a bit for Giant Bomb-based KOTOR 2 video coverage.

Hey guys! I wanted to do my best to make a traditional level that had a theme that didn't contrast too greatly with the chosen background, i.e. no castle stuff in the traditional scheme, etc. Also, I wanted it to be difficult without being gimmicky, which I think I succeeded until the very end, but my original choice was too difficult for me to get past, haha. Let me know what you think! D731-0000-009C-EEA9.

It's a great rental. I've gone through the first chapter but will probably return it tomorrow because I'll have the Battlefront beta to keep me occupied the next few days. I'd be willing to buy it again on a sale for the DLC.

Hated both Safety Not Guaranteed and Jurassic World. Not promising.

Once the first rush of people abandon the attempt I imagine a few dozen or so loyal people will get in there and get a portion of it done. Hard to imagine them handling ledges + other environmental obstacles though.

I'm really shocked at the amount of people that seem to think KOTOR II is better than the original. It was definitely trying to be more ambitious and have a darker story, but I wouldn't go so far as to say its actually a "good" video game. Its possible that the only reason I feel this way is I only ever played the Xbox version and maybe the restored content mod makes it way better. Difficult to say.

I think people give it points JUST because it's trying to be "Dark" or "grey". I think that's silly, personally. It reminds me of my friends in high school whom I couldn't get to go to movies with me if they weren't rated R.

Eh, no. It was ambiguous and moving in a way that almost every Star Wars story (either in the EU or otherwise) was not at the time. Casting it as "dark" or "grey" is really doing a disservice to how isolating and terrifying the game could be, which is something for a Star Wars game.

@austin_walker it makes me so happy to see someone else claim KOTOR 2 as their favorite game. It's just such a mystifying experience in a franchise that's been largely known for its safe, satisfying story lines.

This update makes me also very, very happy. I hope the workshop opportunities means we'll have new experiences with the game. Though I'd take the mods that make it a complete experience, too.

@bceagles128: Yes, undoubtedly so. The glaring flaws (one of which being the length) are easily overlooked if you enjoy the atmosphere of the original film Alien, but only you will know how far you're willing to go for that aesthetic.
