@therealturk: That's not even remotely accurate. Sounds like you played about 2-3 hours and gave up.
"learn this one mechanic and use it the entire game,". Could say the same about Bloodborne in regards to parrying. Also rally mechanic is probably one of the singular worst design choices you could have in a game.
@xbob42: I've never understood this argument against the games. The combat is perfect for what the ES games are trying to set up for the player. A more sophisticated combat system would require reducing so much about the world which is what people love about those games. Really, if that is your basis for a bad game then every Zelda game is a bad game, and so many other beloved games/series.
