  • Without doubt or hesitation Mass Effect 2 is my Game Of The Year. Bioware managed to improve on an already mightily impressive formula in every conceivable way, improved game play, deeper and more interesting characters, stunning locations and a rich engrossing story. I loved every second of this game, to the length where I played through Mass Effect 1 just to see how this would effect my relationship with Liara in Lair Of The Shadow Broker, I cared that much about the characters and the world that Bioware had created that I wanted to soak it all up, understand my crew and crash as many Collectors ships as I could! Roll on Mass Effect 3!

  • Up until this games release, I just had this game down as a rushed, multi-player focused cash in for Ubisoft.

    Oh how wrong I was.

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood managed to take everything I loved from the original duo and just make it more...fun?. Every part of Assassin's Creed seems more focused and streamlined, ultimately resulting in an amazingly rich, fun experience. At its core it's still the same Assassin's Creed, but lets face it, that's not exactly a bad thing! The thing that totally sold me on this game was the sheer range of options Ezio now has for dispatching enemies, too many times in AC:2 I would find myself killing 20 guards in perfect stealth only to be enraged when my last stealth kill messed up and failed the mission, now with the inclusion of the far more accurate and deadly crossbow and a host of hidden assassins at your beck and call combined streamlined combat from the standard "wait for the counter-attack" of the previous games, and you have a winning formula for killing dudes!

    UH UH UH UH!

  • World Of Warcraft is one of those games I kind of feel guilty for playing, not because it is probably the game with the nerdiest reputation pinned to it, but because it just soaks up so much frikkin' time!. In fact it almost nullified all of my gaming plans over the Christmas period. In some ways I hate WoW I get my first character to 85, see some of the heroics, then level another 85, finish all the heroic achievements, then decide to see the new content, thus I'm currently working on a level 74 Shaman, you see, even typing it I feel dirty. But Blizzard did such a fantastic job of adding the same exquisite quality of end game material, while completely changing Azeroth and switching up quests and zones for new players and intrigued veterans alike, sure this is the same Warcraft formula, but with every expansion I can't help but feel that Blizzards MMO is becoming untouchable by anyone else in the genre.

  • Thank you New Vegas, just thank you!. You see I hated Fallout 3 and I seriously thought there was something wrong me with as everyone else on the planet seemed to love it. It was something about the boring start and the stupid metro station transitions that really annoyed me, but that's a different story. Not only is New Vegas a great game, with immersive gameplay, ridiculous characters and a more entertaining story to that of its predecessor, not to mention the fact it got rid of those stupid train stations woooo!. Once I started playing New Vegas I found it extreamly hard to stop, lets hope Bethesda can fuel my need for more New Vegas with their upcoming DLC content.
