@golguin: had no issue with it and fuck it it's not like i'm going to wait for fuckin gurm to finally spit it out already. spoilers were never a real big issue with me anyway. sorry that you got spoiled, though.

also next book is 2nd to last.

Yeah, it's the journey for me. It's also tough to even know what's been "spoiled" except for what happens at the very end. Most of the big stuff that happened this episode has been predicted in some form or another by the frothing mass of book fans. Also that Lyanna flashback was in book one. You just had to piece it together for yourself. Here you have the fade from baby to adult Jon.

By the way I've been looking at the Lyanna flashback a few more times to confirm it and Lyanna defenitely says the baby's name is Aegon.

I only now realize how weird this is coming from a guy with my username.

Since Dany's finally beginning her conquest, I'd like to mention how Aegon the Conqueror started his.

He had three dragons and 1600 men and was fighting against 7 separate kingdoms. Dany has a lot more men (100,000 Dothraki at the least) and is already starting with Dorne and Highgarden on her side (apparently) .

Although, Aegon's dragons were also fucking huuuuuuge. They won battles on their own (plus dragon rider).

Surprised to see some scathing comments here. Funnily enough, I thought this was a very good episode. Lots of stuff happened! Even things that would on paper be pretty silly weren't that bad due to the director being pretty good at his job.

Teleporting Varys is hilarious though. Also I would expect a wildfire explosion of that size to burn through the whole city.

People asking about the Rhaegar / Lyanna relationship...many fans theorize they loved each other, eloped and got married (Targaryens have married multiple brides before). If that turns out to be the case, then Jon has a more legitimate claim to the throne than Daenerys. If Jon finds out about it and if he plans to do anything about it, it will be interesting to see what Dany's reaction will be. Will she still fight for her own gains, turning into a villain in the process? In the second season, she sees a vision of the Iron Throne room in ruins covered in snow.

Or maybe she'll join Jon against the Others.

@mirado: @theht: A tweet from one of the two Joy knights makes it seem that way, but he's supposed to be dead so it might just be a tease. Should happen tonight though.

This spring season was the first time I followed this much anime at once. Lesson learned? Don't do that. I'll stick with Re:Zero for next season and follow 3 more:

  • 91 Days
  • Mob Psycho 100
  • Orange

Edit: Just finished Kiznaiver. Was not satisfied with the ending and the show in general. The script was just bad quite often. 4/10

I am so fucking psyched for this finale. I probably can't sleep tonight (have tho watch it tomorrow).

Oh man, I bet you're going to have to avoid the internet like a plague until you get to watch it.

Hmmm...I think he means he's in a timezone where the episode is airing tomorrow?

@yi_orange: The fact is, we're all just voicing our opinions. Everyone else is free to agree or disagree. There are good and bad adaptations. The Lord of the Rings trilogy is a good adaptation of those books. The last few seasons of Game of Thrones are not (my opinion, but I shouldn't have to state that). When I think a change in the show is cool (Hardhome), I say that I like it. If I think it stinks, I'm free to voice those thoughts as well.

@zevvion: Aaaah, and now you have seen the light. The myriad confusing changes (like the whole Ramsey / Theon thread) and the deaths and all the terrible shit that happens to the characters for no reason in season 5 is pretty bad, but Littlefinger marrying Sansa off to Ramsey was just one of the most mind boggling changes. Why would he ever do that? I guess they felt this was the most efficient way for them to get Sansa to the place they wanted her to be, but that's one of the biggest problems. Characters and deaths feel like pieces being played by the writers instead of organic developments.
