Hey. So, I'm very likely to be spending the coming year in Shanghai. Now I'm sure we all have heard of the Great Firewall of China, which I have experienced before on vacation, but that was for only ten days. Living there a year, I suspect I'll be rather displeased with my internet speeds and access. Now, I know I'll be able to bypass the firewall through proxies or VPN, but I've no idea about what sort of speed would be available.

So, any duders in China? Does anything GB get through the wall without the bypasses and if so, is it at all tolerable speeds? Thanks.

Just listened to an old video and had a bummed out moment.

Anybody else stumble across an old GB video on youtube or something and have a "maaaaaan..." kind of moment?

Everyone goddamn one of us. It was only July. Hell, looking as THIS YEARS E3 is a total bummer, because there he is, just fine. And now...fuck.

I get that he wouldn't want us hung up on him, most likely. Either that, or he would laugh his ass off at the idea of all these people hung up on him. But regardless, it's just shitty, and it's a dose of reality in a whole industry that specializes in avoiding reality. I just wish he had two more lives left, so to speak.

I don't want o give the wroing impression, I've moved on. It's just when I specifically think about it or get some stark reminder that is hits me.

Fuck, Ryan Davis.

This is not a bad bug, but you may want to look into it. When I finish a video, it immediately replays but only the audio. The screen itself is solid gray. If I start a new video, it plays normally and does the audio replay at the end. This has only happened for about the past week for me.

Edit: I should say, this is for viewing with the on-site streaming player. YouTube is normal.

I could upload mine if it would help anyone out, I already played the new episode but considering that save is already "locked in" for season 2 it includes the season 1 choices and you should be able to just replay the new episode in the same save slot? Moral high-ground Lee for the most part.

Can't remember it all but Clementine did not shoot Lee, Omid and Christa survived, Doug died in ep.1, didn't steal from car, didn't kill cannibal with hayfork, shot kid in attic, shot duck instead of letting Kenny, revealed bite to group, Ben died at the tower etc.

Unfortunately when pressing play you get to select which chapter within the episode to start at and all the pictures and names of the chapters are story spoilers.

You know, that is close, but I maybe I should just take a day and blitz through the first season again, because my playthrough is actually my wife's (it's the only game we play together as she isn't a gamer) and I think she will want it exactly as it was, even if those choices don't show up. As for the chapter cover spoilers, yeah, I always thought that was odd, but The Season one, episode three cover was a fake out, since it showed Duck riding on the Train with a big smile.

I have an issue where my season one data is all gone, completely, it no longer exists. I know this isn't the exact thread for this, but I can't seem to find a save archive online like I did with Mass Effect. Does anyone know where I could get a "Super Nice, Moral High-ground, Honest Lee" playthrough save? or any save files, for that matter?

@aelric:

have you:

-installed the LATEST DPfix?

-changed dp.exe to run as administrator and enabled compatibility mode for windows 98 and then restarted the computer?

-verified the game file cache in the properties menu by right clicking the game in your steam library?

-disabled the controller input fix with in the .ini file if you are NOT using a control pad?

-tried using a control pad?

Yes to everything, but I did find a solution. I changed my gamepad mapping program to pinnacle instead of Joy2key (Joy2Key had the exact problem as the keyboard) and used a control profile with a matching texture override for the button prompts. It's working well now, or at least as well as deadly premonition could possibly work.

So, I've tried this both before and after the DPfix mod and It seems I'm the only one on earth with this problem because I can't find an answer for it anywhere.

When I open the toolbox, I can choose to put away or take an item, then in the menu where it actually shows the items, every button changed the tab except the 'E' key, which switched to the items, but then when it asks to select it, it flashes a confirmation, then switches back to select before I can actually confirm. And when I try to choose any item other than the first one, it switches tabs of all other keys, no matter when the keys real function, only allowing me to stay in the same menu or back out totally with the 'R' key.

The end result means I cannot switch items from the toolbox or too it, which means the game is unwinnable with it's limited inventory. Like I said, I can't find any forums where this bug has been reported, though others DO seem to have their toolbox working just fine. Any ideas?

So, I'm shilling for this post. Blatantly, because I really love the idea behind this game and am even more in love with the setting. It's Tsarist Russian Space Empire. It's a seeming mix between 4x strategy, space sim, base building and x-com style boarding missing ship to ship, with some RPG dialogue trees and Elite-style freedom, or at least so it seems. They have been doing a 60 day kickstarter and only have about three weeks left at only half their goal.

I put in what I can, but honestly, I don't think they will make it unless there is a word of mouth push, and I am so intrigued by the concept of Russian space combat that I want to spread things. I dunno if that counts as advertising and I'll get forum locked or whatever, but I want this to happen. I already saw another space project shot down (Jupiter Incident sequel, the original had an awesome setting and weird but enjoyable indirect ship combat) and I don't want this original IP to die in the womb.

I want to make a Russian Captain Drew, commander of a space sub.

Edit: oh, and their text adventure is pretty great too: http://www.mandategame.com/scourge/
