When I saw "band neglected since GH1," the first thing that came to my mind was Pantera. But I agree with Queen too. Both of them should make triumphant returns.
My favorite song to sing... hmm... Probably Interstate Love Song by STP, as that's one of my favorite songs in general. Also either of the Avenged Sevenfold DLC songs. But I'll sing anything in the game.
Well, as much as you might be upset about censoring a song you like, at least it's IN the game. They could have just not included it entirely because it didn't have appropriate lyrics. Then you wouldn't have been able to play it at all.
The point that the people not bickering in here are trying to make is basically that if something is fun at its core, repeating that action has a better chance of being fun. That is one way that repetitiveness avoids blandness. The second is the aforementioned loot, or some other sort of carrot-on-a-stick to keep people moving. Example, the experience system in COD4. Keep playing, doing the same thing over and over, you'll unlock new perks and guns. So there's motivation to repeat.
I play the trumpet pretty well, and the guitar pretty poorly. Interestingly, I think that my skills at GH/RB guitar are more due to the former than the latter. Working the valves on an instrument like the trumpet builds the kind of finger dexterity that translates very well over to a plastic guitar. =)
