I get pretty stressed out by horror games, yet I beat both Dead Space games because they're not exactly scary, they're just intense.

When you learn to master your weapons and abilities and learn the weaknesses of the various types of enemies, Dead Space turns into a spooky Gears of War. Isaac is a badass, as opposed to the fragile protagonists of most horror games.

Go for it with guns blazing, and enjoy the unique intense atmosphere!

All I can say is, I honestly wish and hope that the new generation of consoles will bring a new and fresh age of gameplay innovation and new ways for narrative to unfold.

I'd really hate it if the next generation sucks the dick of Mass Effect's cutscenes and Modern Warfare's shooting galleries dry. That'd be a sad era of gaming :(

@ProfessorEss: It's kind of interesting how my only comfort zone for immersive "real ass" gaming is on a desk and chair(or in my bed.. Yes, I take my PC into my bed) whereas yours is the couch, and we view each other's comfort zones as uncomfortable alien locations.

All I can say is, once you get used to the amazing feel of a multilateral PC spread across a desk with your hands taking full control of the game through the keys and mouse, you'll be hooked. It feels very active and engaging compared to sinking in a comfy couch holding a small controller.

Is anyone checking this thread well versed in videocards?

Can anyone give me an idea of what type of performance I can get out of a AMD Radeon 6900?

I don't mind playing with some lower settings if I means getting a smoother framerate.

I'm running this game on lowest settings on an ancient rig with a GeForce 8600 GT and an AMD Athlon dual core, and its running at a steady 30-35 FPS.

I'm sure when I go back to my dorm room and run it on my newer PC (GTX 570, i5 2500K) it'll run just fine. You don't have to max out games to enjoy them, as you said yourself,so your 6900 will do pretty damn well.

The similarities between Far Cry 3 and Assassin's Creed 3 are growing weirder by the minute. In a good way.

I'm disgusted by the fact that the show is all about exploiting Americans' new found fear of Arabs and Islam by making the good blond guy chase all kinds of bearded brownies with fake ass random ass Arabic names and bring their terrorist ass to justice.

Fuck that offensive show.

Yeah the show is all about hating Arabs and Islam. Are you high? It's a show about counter terrorism that lasted 8 years, eventually they would be using an middle eastern antagonist. Just because one season they used a bad guy that falls into your demographic the show is an outrage and offensive? What about the American, Russian, Mexican and European bad guys they used? Not to forget the middle eastern dude who worked for ctu who was a pretty heroic guy. Take your sensationalistic bull shit elsewhere.

Interesting. So you're saying that the 100 times I randomly saw the show on TV for a glimpse, where there was always a brown bearded Arab being pursued for being a mass murdering parasite, those were all coincidences?

Then I'm wrong.
