The only advert I saw and clicked in my entire life I went "Oh I want to know more!" was on the Webcomic Machall to the side the advert was for another webcomic called Krakow, it had a Succubus pinning a college guy down on a sofa saying "Get Thee behind me."

I am the main mod of the forums and friend of sorts to the webcomic creator for the last 13 years...the only worthwhile advert to click on.

@dusker: Dude....P.T was designed to have people wonder around it and try for weeks to finish it. Kojima made it that way, the only people completed it straight away was by being a streamer talking all the time since the puzzle is solved by using the built in mic and talking on the phone.. My friend was one of early streamers except he does not talk at all in his videos It is purely video and so he never completed the puzzle. Some English wifey did cos she was streaming and talking away to her viewers and messing around.

Obviously the Silent hill is not going to be that game, Kojima likes to fuck around but I think he has learned from the Meryl codec MGS incident that he cannot make it too obscure.

Alot of people need to read recent history, for in 2011 a very similar series of events happened in England. In this case a white male linked to criminal activities was shot unarmed by police (A slightly different starter point) however what happened after was peaceful protests that some turned violent. These eventually turned into riots and eventually organised looting.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_England_riots

Many of the events that sparked several cities younger underbelly to go on mass destructive looting "Riots" are being replicated in Ferguson, except one of two things are different (the other is questions racial discrimination) the English riots were very poorly manage in the opposite way. Ferguson has many heavily armed and protected police, England had many unarmed and unprotected police. The English riots were caused by perceived weakness and criminals instigated the mass looting. Often police would line up with riot gear and accept all that was thrown at them. There was no fear from the criminals.

This case Ferguson has cracked down hard....except there is now lots of fear. Fear from every civilian and more so from ethnic civilians, as the initial crime that brought this about was supposedly an unarmed harmless black male gunned down by a crazy cop (one line of possible description) so with this huge force of armed police pointing guns at everyone and arresting reporters, then a country built on civil liberties and rights feel's even more pressured by the "man".

This could spark a such large rioting as England did for the opposite reasons.

Yes I would in any format. Be it a ER style or Dan selecting bits to subject Drew too. Cos some long bits ARE just stealth action.

Dan has way better things he could be trying before he wastes his time with the bore of a game that is myst lol

EDIT: Also I can kind of level with Dan, for years I never tried ketchup and mayonaise and all that stuff and people gave me shit for it saying that I was just too stubborn and would have to like it, but even after I tried it all I still ended up not liking most of it, and its not like my life was somehow changed dramatically just because I had ketchup for the first time.

I sort of agree on the myst suggestion cos he can sort of look at a video and go "Oh right." thats myst. I have played them but its not thaaaaaat important. Now playing an MMO AT ALL thats kind of important why not WoW.

Also Liquid snake its not about making you like Ketchup or Mayonnaise, its more getting you to form an opinion. You now have tried them and can say honestly "I do not like it." people's reactions should be more "oh...ok..." and the any fights about it should be lesser Imagine.

It is the same for Dan and others of the same, their adamant "Never tried it...NOPE!" it is the flat out "no" and "never" combination that gets people to want you to form an opinion. Many enjoy or love such items and thus its hard to understand the flat out never and no. If you try it maybe you like maybe you do not, however they are such common place you just HAVE to try it to form an opinion. Realy it is slanted to a 90% of "Do not like it." however Do not like it is "I tried it and do not like it." which is a far harder thing to argue against.

The other thing is it is such an easy and risk free task, it is simply "Here try it on this french fry!" one french fry it lost for a two second attempt. It is the simplicity that adds to people being annoyed when the brick wall of "NO" and "NEVER" is put up around such a simple task.

It is different story for someone to argue the same over say something like Lamb. It is expensive you have to prepare it and prepare well and the risk to reward ratio is more on utter risk so the fight is less.

Just two seconds....one bite....just cmon..... is the feelings behind it all.

Its Grave of the Fireflies or Legend of Galactic Heroes.

I say Legend of Galactic Heroes...because...man....110 episodes/movies of stuff happen and when something bad happens...you felt it. From the rise and falls of the main cast to even the death figures of soldiers lost in battle. You felt for alot of it....it had such a way to make you feel for these characters and you never want them to be hurt.

To take an early example in the first Movies (you should watch the first two movies and ignore EP 1 and 2) so many characters are built a man...do they test you on fearing their loss at any moment.

This ending makes almost all LoGH fans cry. Just look to to the comments.

This one as well just gets everybody.

Legend of Galactic Heroes is really sad and not sad for the sake of being sad...sad because it reflect wartime life so well, anyone can go at the drop of a hat. On moment has a long time character joke and ask about his good friend who you also followed in the series for a while and his colleague has to reply "Sorry...he never made it.....there was three of them." my stomach dropped and there was no death scene there was nothing beyond....he is gone, somthing war will have happen all the time. The characters response was much the same and...it is just so powerful.

I mean thats not just the series there is alot of triumphs and truly funny moments. It goes from strong moment to strong moment.

Legend Of The Galactic Heroes has so many great heavy moments.

I never noticed someone said this too...but so true.

I would always say Yugioh....buuut your friends play magic. So you're just as well for going into Magic, like others have said play one of the computer game version to learn the rules and then once your down with that get your friends to take you into the nuances.

Or

Let Loading Ready Run take you through to playing Magic.

Sorry.....maybe not play....or what to expect. Still good seeds of knowledge.

I don't think an exact year comparison is worthy. As a year ago Ryan passed away and Patrick moved out of the office, it was very very different times ontop of the budget that should have improved GB went to rebuying equipment. So it was not until this year that the budget came through to improve GB as a whole. We got Dan and Jason to fill the much needed GB slots. We now have 3 GB's, West, Mid and East.

This is the whole point to why GB East is now getting funded with a studio and such to allow for more content. Vinny and Alex take a load off quick looks. GB west can get on with QL's and other "features" with East jerry rigging their own for now.

Really alot of what is happening now was supposed to happen a year ago but with stolen equipment and a loss of an important person, GB was stalled emotionally, evolutionary and budgetary.

So to compare this year with last year I see as unfair.

Watch some of the intense shows like Drew playing gang beasts. You will here the odd "MOTHER FUCKER!" "you bastard!" he does swear on occasion. However fuck is not his second word in a sentence much like some people including myself.

@fobwashed: With that image of brown shelled eggs you are correct, BUT Americans often use pure white eggs. So there is some logic to his thinking.
