Ah figured it was time to start my own site and post about some of the cool stuff I've collected over the years. If you wanna check it out, go to www.retrogamergirl.com/wp/ I think all my friends and husband are tired of me yapping about retro games so I figured this way only people who were already interested in that stuff would hear about it :)

I know this is a little late, but better late than never :p

Gaming wise, my one big New Years Resolution is to finally beat Mega Man 9! lol it's really bad, I've beaten the other 8 before this one and numerous Mega Man X games but I'm stuck at Wily's castle, actually same thing with Mega Man 10. If I have a weekend where I don't have to turn the Wii or Xbox off I could probably do it but it's tricky with my little 1 year old running around to get the time to sit down and play. Maybe it will have to be father son time :p

Well new to me that is, thank you ebay! Man I love ebay, it's helped my game collection grow exponentially over the last few years :)

I picked up Splatterhouse, Ghosts and Goblins and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to play on my Famicom

So now I have an excuse to keep working on my Famicom collection. Here are the 12 I have so far, not to much variety considering 2 are Beat Takeshi games and 4 are Ultraman ones :p Any suggestions for some titles I should pick up?

I actually have some more pics of paintings I've done :)

I have a sweet spot for Mega Man 4 (only had Mega Man 1 and 4 when I was a kid) so figured Skull Man would look awesome on this background my friend painted

Skull Man from Mega Man 4

Rick from Splatterhouse

Another background my friend painted, figured the red and black would work well for a guy carrying an axe :p

I have 4 more backgrounds sitting downstairs drying so soon I'll be posting up more pics of various Mega Man Robot Masters

Finally got a chance to work on my oil/acrylic Mega Man painting this weekend. My background, which is painted with oil paints finally decided to dry so then I could see how my Mega Man would work with it. Still needs touch ups etc but here is the rough picture just to give you an idea :) Lol I really need to paint the edges of the canvas cause it's looking pretty bad right now :p

I'm 27, and the first games I remember playing were Super Mario Bros, RC Pro AM and Pacman at my friends house on their NES. Luckily my dad got hooked on playing Pacman and soon after that we had our own NES :)

Hey everyone who is reading this lol :) Thought I would use the blog to talk about some awesome retro games I've picked up.

Today on my lunch break from work I found Mega Man 1, the only one in the series I didn't have yet and Mighty Bomb Jack. I used to have Mega Man when I was a kid before my brother and I sold our NES and our 100 games (which was a huge mistake, I'm still trying to buy all the games I used to have) but just haven't got a chance to pick it up til today. I haven't tried Mighty Bomb Jack but I saw on the Game Center episode guide that Arino plays it so I figured it was worth picking up.

I'll have to post a list of the games I currently have, but does anyone know of any "hidden gems" or under the radar type games I should check out? I'm always interested in expanding my collection :p

I just got my 3DS for Christmas and so far I'm loving it, especially the slide directional pad. It works so good! I haven't had any problems with the 3D making me feel sick, which I anticipated having problems with, since I usually have a weak stomach but so far so good.

So far I've gotten Mario Kart 7, Mario 3D Land, Star Fox, Ocarina of Time, Shinobi, and Street Fighter and they all look great. Can't wait to see what other games are going to be announced for it.
