I really hoped (against better judgement) this would not happen. THQ seemed to be one of the few publishers that really dared to let developers make actually fun and unusual games and not just aim for some triple A generic blockbuster. In a sense it doesn't really matter to me who gets the properties as long as the developers behind them can stay in tact and get the same freedom THQ gave them.... then again, that is probably why they went under in the first place. Because lets face it, in the end 'we' all might dislike some of the bigger developers like EA and Activision, they are still in business because that triple A generic blockbuster is what most of us buy instead of the games THQ publishes...

This extents beyond just gaming. It's something that goes on in most occupations where males dominate the workfloor, not just the gaming industry. At the company I work for we do not make games, but business to business software mainly and we have had multiple female programmers who are indeed sometimes not taken serious by customers simply for the reason of being female.

One of our best programmers as such has on multiple occasions by the same customer been called out as being 'someone from communications' while they where told she's actually one of our senior programmers who designed and developed their software. And an old colleague of us when she staffed the helpdesk would regularly be treated like she was a secretary and asked if they could talk to the real helpdesk and had to explain she was a developer for over 10 years who also had a systemadmin background.

Of course I guess the same also happens in a way in occupations that are female dominated to the men there. Like male nurses. It's all stupid however and shows how much people think in gender stereotypes.

@SethPhotopoulos, yeah its a very slin chance. He could be getting a fever however from the initial way his arm was cut off. Infected and loss of blood. **comic book spoiler** same thing happened to rick after he got a bullet removed very crudely but with better care then Lee did his arm. Rick manages to fight, get Carl to safety and then starts to pass out. Eventually when in a save house he collapses for a long time and Carl even almost shoots his dad thinking he is dead and has turned. He gets better however with rest ** end spoiler. Both comic and tv show have people surviving bites due to cutting of the infected limb. But they do it directly after infection. Its probably not so, but both Lee and Kenny are in situations where in the comic people have come out of despite all odds. While in other cases they die due to stupid change or bad luck (Ben's death and Lee's 'love interest' being so suddenly shot fit perfectly into how people out of the blue die for stupid reasons as in the comic). The comic makes it a habit to have people who seem to die live and when you don't expect it just kill somebody off mid a story or personal ark about them.

I am generally very suspicious of shows that do not show clear deaths of main characters. Perhaps I've seen one to many 80ties tv show and horror movie where anybody who's death is 'heavily implied' later returns alive anyway...

And its not unlike the comic either **pretty early on comic spoiler** When Tyrone in the comic decides to go nutts after the death of his daughter and locks himself into a room with zombies, all the zombies jump him and he's not heard of in days... when they finally open the door they find him alive under a pile of zombies **end spoiler**

Like all the previous episodes I also liked this one. I do have a few issues with the episode overall however. The stranger being the guy from the car didn't 100% do it for me (I was hoping for something more elaborate I guess, something that I could not think of myself but would have gone 'ohyeah!' over) and how did Clem get you out of a totally zombie infested street and into a locked building? A grown man is extremely heavy for a little girl, and she would have to break character to drag him or something. I'd think despite the zombie smell, the zombies would notice (at least in both comic and tv show when this is used you also need to kind of act like a zombie).. And I kind of felt unfulfilled with what happened to Omid and Crista. But all in all still one of the best games I've played in a long run and a very very emotional ending.

Why does everybody assume cutting the arm of didn't work by the way? It probably didn't, but Lee could just be passing out from blood loss and you see him 'fade away' if you don't shoot him. I know it's a huge longshot, and I guess a lot of people would feel emotionally cheated. I do think it was to long ago after the bite, since in both comic and tv show amputations are done directly after being bitten.. but then it does work.

Same as Kenny's death not being confirmed. Ben is pretty much impossible to save I guess. But all in all you never saw them actually die.

Did anybody else get the end screen with all your choices vs everybody else just being filled with placeholder text instead of the actual text describing the choices? I got things like ' choice 1' ' description 1' when that screen showed.

Personally I don't think the problem is gold or not, it's the fact this dashboard is overloaded with huge adds. Which should not be there gold or not in my opinion. Adds or info about new games and services is okay, but not this extreme. And adds about other products is just an insult. This dashboard more seems like one is turning on an advertisement box then a gaming device. And I think that is the actual problem. Not gold it self or gold vs. P+. At least not for me. Plus it's just exceptionally slow when you have an older profile with a lot of games.

It's that I really dislike the PS3 dashboard even more and it's store it still way worse (no easy trial versions to download, hard to navigate), I dislike how trophies are handled in every single way, how game updates are handled, not being able to login on 2 accounts using 2 controlers and 1 ps3 (me and my wife have separate accounts and like to coop) and some other petty issues. Very personal reasons to stay with the Xbox for now, despite the current Xbox dashboard also having become an abomination.

Overall I still find the user experience of the Xbox dashboard better then of the PS3. But Microsoft is gradually getting shittier and shittier, and doing so very fast! PS3 isn't getting better, it's just not changing much. P+ is better then gold, but that's separate from the dashboard issue for me at least. Only thing is, most services that you pay for which also run adds then stop showing you those adds. Microsoft decided otherwise, and that's even more stupid then the adds being there in the first place.

Gears of War 3 - it just felt bland, boring and more of the same... and yeah I knew it would be like that before I bought it and still I bought it. Shame on me.

God of War 3 - Not really fair as me and god of war never clicked. Never got past the start of 3 with no incentive to pick it up again.

Darksiders 2 - This is probably the biggest shame of this generation in my eyes. The first Darksiders is one of THE best games this generation, pretty much a must play and buy game... and then comes this. The story is boring, the combat sucks, the puzzles are lame, the loot system doesn't really click, etc. etc... I really tried it, but not even when in the 'good middle part' do I want to keep playing.

Final Fantasy XIII - Being a huge FF fan this is just a showcase of the decline of Square...

BioShock 2 - knew it to be honest before getting it, but this was too clear trying to cache in on the really good first game without delivering in anyway. Rapture was never meant to be revisited.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii - I'll probably be burned for this, but it just did not click with me.

All Killzone games - Sorry these are just not any good...

LittleBigPlanet - now I for sure will be burned at the stake :p I absolutely LOVE the style, Stephen Fry, the atmosphere, Sackboy, everything about it feels so wonderful... but I never actually wanted to play it. Not being much into making levels all there was for me was the platforming and that just didn't click with me at all. It just wasn't much fun after a few levels I found.

Viva PiƱata: Trouble in Paradise - The first game rocked, this was just more of the same, but not as well done.

Battlefield: Bad Company - tbh I found it a rather bland shooter and it's the only FPS shooter that gave me motionsickness.

Dead Rising - This could have been so good, yet turned out so bad.

Metro 2033 - It's a gameplay thing.. something was just off..

Resistance 3 - I actually liked the first 2, this one was bleh.. mainly due to the story... it did not feel like it ended the story well.

Super Meat Boy - very personal... I got caught up in the hype knowing I do not like these types of games. But I hoped this one would convert me... it didn't. Nothing wrong on SMB's side, it's just not something that could get me into these types of games.

Saints Row: The Third - I would have never gotten it without the GB hype and some friends loving it. I found it childish and boring...

Any and all GTA games - I just never Finnish them. Not since GTA3, don't know why I keep on getting them.

L.A. Noir - see GTA games.

(note these are not all games I find bad, these are games I had high hopes for that didn't live up to it)

The two 50 cent games are probably pretty bad, Wet, that Golden Axe beast rider game and all the Burger King games come to mind.
