  • Sorry everything else on this list, but... it's TES V. I wasn't expecting to like this so much, after being slightly disappointed in Oblivion. But this seems to have exceeded Morrowind and Oblivion. Whether it will even approach equaling Daggerfall will require a lot more exploration.

  • Incredible remake compared the the Super Famicom original. If you enjoyed Final Fantasy Tactics or any of the Tactics Ogre games, TRY THIS.

  • The hype was true for the atmosphere and characterization. Gameplay could use more depth and options, but it's an incredible reboot of the series. Adam Jensen will be remembered. OH, WAIT, THE MUSIC. THE MUSIC IS INCREDIBLE. WHERE IS THE FULL OST ALREADY!!!???

I really wish the game had a New Game + Mode. It'd be so fun to just mess around with lots of skills on the hardest difficulty. After beating it legitimately, of course.

  • Metal Gear Solid - Peace Walker with a Right Stick plus online multiplayer. Yes, it's small-mission based. However, it's INCREDIBLY FUN. Plus you get Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance, Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence, Metal Gear, and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. Those latter two are the definitive MSX computer versions.

Do you like Metal Gear? Oh you do? THEN PICK A PLATFORM AND BUY THIS NOW!!! =)

  • Very creative little game, charming too. Just remember not to burn yourself out on it too quickly. It's very reminiscent of Animal Crossing, but more in depth like one would expect out of a Western game.

  • Equals the original, and then surpasses it with a better story and deeper expression of it's characters.

  • This and Demon's Souls feel like the alternate route that The Elder Scrolls could have taken after Daggerfall. Oh! And if the original Diablo had retained it's sense of dread in a sequel. And throw in some Bushido Blade.

However, despite comparisons this IS it's own game. Nothing else out there quite like it with the quality this franchise has.

  • 360 Version.

Such an amazing port to the 360, and especially to Gamepad Controls. Adore the game all over again.

  • Really great version of Final Fantasy IV. I wish the art was more in line with the Amano originals, or the tone of the 1992 game, but aside from that it's really good. Particularly the overall SPEED of the game. Lightning fast loads, super responsive interface, and the option of classic or remixed soundtrack. It even has the original Japanese language option if you want a fun game to practice Japanese on.

I would LOVE to see remakes of V and VI along these lines. Not likely to happen on the PSP, but would be fine on the Vita. Maybe even the 3DS?

  • Controls are stellar. And remember, the original Hard Corps was a lot more anime in style than the other Contras as well. So this feels right. Loving it so far. Also, one can play Uprising Mode and use earned Contra Points for more skills, lives, and continues. Useful if you're building up your skills.

  • Extra #11

It's actually very fun and well made. Simple in ways, but it plays like a modern Golden Axe. High praise.
