2009's Batman: Arkham Asylum had no expectations to live up to. The track record of the Dark Knight in video games is spotty. For every good game, there are about 10 mediocre ones, and for the longest time Batman fans clung to the NES game as the only claim to greatness.  This is the best Batman game ever made. This is perhaps the best comic-based game ever made. It's probably also the best stealth-action game this year. Street Fighter IV is awesome.I'd like to address the graphics first. This is the best looking game so far this year. I'm talking from a purely artistic perspective of course, but it looks good from a technical standpoint too. Each of the characters are rendered in a cartoony style, all in 3D. Kinda like a cross between the old Street Fighter 2 sprites and the somewhat newer EX models. Yes, that's a Star Wars reference. If you buy the game, expect to see more. The Star Wars character promoted above the title on the box is in the opening FMV, in the concept art and comes with another Star Wars character, who in turn comes with a promotional video for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
