I feel like Wordle was a test of seeing if everyone could be cool about a silly little thing, and boy could some people not be at all cool about it. It felt like a fun 90's-Internet type thing you could enjoy with some friends, and then some current-Internet assholes tried their best to ruin it. That guy's dickish "shoutout to the creator" probably says all you need to know about him.
I wonder if there’s any sense amongst regulators if pursuing the “monopolizing the live service gaming submarket” would potentially bear more fruit. Apologies if this addressed later in the video, I just got to the part discussing reactions around the industry and other companies panicking about MS having more leverage on service partnerships in the future.
I still need to catch up on the previous two episodes, but real mixed emotions here with Albummer returning (yay!) but without Katie (boo!). The tribute video was perfect, though.
EDIT: I think the winner is deserving, but I feel like Danzig Sings Elvis should have at least made the finals. Lots of tiebreaker votes cast though, it was very compelling!
Scrolling through darkpatterns.org, I have to say the most infuriating one for me is the one under “Misdirection”. I get a ton of spam email and attempt to unsubscribe from all of it, and often the link to do that is kept as unreadable as possible underneath text that appears to be the hyperlink you want. When you do find the right page, it’s worded as confusingly as possible to try and get you to click on the wrong option. This, as well as making skipping a “protection plan” on ordering electronics, absolutely drives me up the wall.

Grubb is 100% correct about Colorado winters. I lived in the mid-Atlantic all my life before moving here and winters are not comparable between the two regions. There’s an enormous difference between standing in the sun and shade. I’ve shoveled snow in 0 degree (F) weather and felt hot enough to unzip my jacket because the sun was shining on me.
While no more physical office (in the near future at least) is a bummer, it’s pretty insane that this site had studios in two of the most expensive real estate markets in the US for as long as it did. And office renovations have gotten way more expensive in the last year or so (with the forecast continuing to climb), so downscaling is really the only sensible option. Yet another thing the pandemic has taken away from us, I guess.
As for Wordle, I’ve been using the PENIS Method for as long as I’ve played (just this week), and it has yet to steer me wrong.
