Let me just say with RUNS like these, this series is actually going to leave me bald, and probably won't continue for long, since operatives are falling left and right

I know I'm not the only one, But after re watching Kerbal Space program, i missed Austin and his Vinny, YELLS.

It made me remember the last GBEast Austin's podcast. It felt true and lovable. It truly shined when Alex expressed Joy and Pain, Joy from when his friend got a job running the game department at VICE, and Pain to see him leave. It resonated with him, and this post doenst even make justice to Austin departure from GB. I was very surprised during the whole bit at the E3 couch, and Jeff and Vinny were great at delivering the news in the most humorous way possible.

@alex : Films and 40's for the Battle Royale. 1 and 2. I know 2 is so much worse, but eh....

To be fair for those that saw the movie, you should really try to atleast read the manga, in my opinion its a masterpiece

Wow, no. Battle Royale is one of those instances where the movie is better than pretty much all other forms it's appeared in. The book and manga read like a super generic fanfiction about characters you've never heard of before (don't get me started on Kiriyama, who is a quiet bad-ass in the film, but a super generic anime Adonis who is super intelligent and super good-looking and also everybody loves him and wants to follow him, blah blah blah, but he's damaged, blah blah blah , just a garbage anime character is what he is, basically). The writing/dialogue is just complete garbage. Stick with the first movie, and only read the book or manga if you can tolerate just garbage writing.

I read the manga quite a while back, and havent been able to find it nor payed any attention to it since. But for what i remember its mostly like the Japanese Manga trope, where it all starts in a highschool setting, but when students are pushed to the limit some thrive others despair. I wouldn't call fan-fiction, but yes some of the characters back story and motives why they are a bunch of psychopaths or self-rightous are a little exaggerated, but that's just Anime back in 2000, imo. I didn't like the hero that much on any instance, he doesnt seem as fleshed out as some antagonists. Kiriyama on the other hand is just Sasuke, boy genius, who pretty much is a silent killing machine that can break senior(s) arms with a book about human skeleton, yes over the top, but i prefer his death on the manga to the anime one.

As for which one is better. The manga has a ton more stuff, in my opinion, relevant to what happens to other students and the weapons given in it are way more useful and smarter. I did not like the fact they had to mix things up for the Live action adaptation.

I dont remember dialogue that much so i cant speak ill/good about it, but isn't it pretty much manga dialogue, in some rare instances its good, the rest trash. I remember the art though at that was great, it made me search for other genres of drawing since i picked BR after reading shounen like manga.

I can agree that the 2nd movie is just not on par with the first one, but that said they still watched Fast and furious 2, so....

Have you guys considered getting a voice modulator for the west coast office as well? It could be used for so much good out there!

Poor Jason he already has so many things he can muster to do while live streaming, you still want to add workload? Besides with the whole video thing the Mystique of a voice modulator would wear off quickly, since you could see the person talking.

Video is always nice when you need to show us material, like those CD's. I usually don't catch this live, so i would say record the audio for later, and stream the video while you are answering questions

@unastrike and for Ben (sorry I don't know his username here to tag him too)

Just a heads up on that Tekken talk, Jack is considered mid to upper mid tier in the competitive scene.

The thing about him is that he probably has the best poking toolset in the game, and is relatively easy to use, but you have to have incredibly strong Tekken fundamentals to do well with him, which is part of why he isn't used very often.

If you go back and watch Saint play Jack, he really only uses a handful of moves in the neutral, and they're all relatively safe moves. Anakin on the other hand takes very big risks on some of his reads, mainly his usage of Debugger (that big spinning low punch) that lead to him taking a ton of damage when it was blocked, but also worked out for him fairly often.

Jack's flaws are that his sidestep is pretty gimp up close, and he's not particularly great at escaping up close pressure without making hard reads, which is far from the major flaws of the true bottom tier of Tekken 7 in Lucky Chloe, who has horrendous lows and is very punishable on almost all of her offense, and Gigas, who has both the worst sidestep and the worst backdash in the game.
