Maybe it was behind the sun, because anything that close would have disintergrated.

If it was behind or in front of the star then it wouldn't have changed trajectory unless the sun's magnetic force is strong enough to affect massive celestial objects moving at an incredible rate.

Serbsta: What do you think? If it was a meteor, this is some scary shit. Thinking of the relative size of our planet, if it had hit the earth we would all be dead right now."

Yeah... I went back and watched it again. I saw the trajectory change. It looked as if it might have been in front of the Sun. Light can seem as if it's bendiing and we are seeing nothing but light.

Pretty awesome stuff and leaves me with nothing but more questions. I wish some scientist would check it out, instead of just some random news station."
It could be the sun's gravity affecting the light coming from the object, or the sunlight itself reflecting off.

I remember a while ago some pretty cool thread with a lot of recommendations for 8 and 16-bit style music that's in vogue now, but I lost it (when will we get a topic favourites button?).

Can someone post some recommendations for this kind of music? You know what I mean Crystal Castles, Tetristar, etc...

I second Far Cry 2. I bought it knowing it had problems, and demanded a lot of time and effort to get any enjoyment, but just didn't realise how much time and effort.

I loved adventure games as a kid (see avatar), but I've been playing a few of the modern ones and they feel a bit stale (Longest Journey, Still Life, Moment of Silence). Mostly because they're exactly the same as the classics, only without the wit and style.

Some of my best gaming memories are with adventures though (BladeRunner, Sam & Max hit the road) and I kinda feel like adventure games still have a place in modern gaming. Especially when they innovate on the genre, like Fahrenheit, or Phoenix Wright (the first one - the one without the fanservice homoeroticism).
Adventure games seem like the last genre to use gameplay to support story as opposed to the other way round.

Anyone else want to see more adventure games? And if so, what kind? Or are you glad they're dead?

Is he calling Nintendo yakuza by saying they made hanafuda cards and that's a yakuza game? Probably obvious to most but I could be wrong.
