That'd be a negative. Looks like it barely has AO underneath the skater lol. Plus it doesn't seem like this is a hugely invested in product from the tech side. And really, the THPS series has never been that. I think it looks pretty darn good as is. Considering that Activision kinda had every right to keep the series buried for another several years...
I don't understand why this is so hard. It really isn't. Abby is completely ignoring the first rule of every shooter: If it's a red barrel, it EXPLODES!!
LOL, Really? At what point? When she was looking bored or when she was yawning? Not an Abby hater at all, but she was obviously sick/tired during this segment so I don't really get the "boss" comment. She is generally way more high energy.
I think I understand what Jeff and Abby are saying about cod being manipulative in their presentation. I think for someone like Dan, who's weak and easily manipulated, it works.

Every time I read the comments before I watch a video and some "controversy" is going on here, I start watching the video expecting the worst. But it always ends up much ado about nothing. Not bothered at all by the way CoD was discussed on this segment. Feel like it got it's due.
And I bet that just as the video segment itself was to you, the game will be equally "not that bad" in terms of its content. There have been so many instances in the past where press have been shown games and they come out and write their inflammatory previews only for the game to release and nobody bats an eye at it. What I'm saying here is that I think CoD will be fine. I generally like Abby quite a bit but I feel like this is most likely a bit of an overreaction. Or maybe just judging too harshly or just expecting a bit too much given the current state of the medium. That's another thing the press tend to love to do: talk about how "small" or lacking in depth certain games are in their depth while completely ignoring that there are just certain technical limitations as to how far a game studio can take certain concepts. But they have to start somewhere.
I've been wishing for YEARS that you guys would play SHOGO!! Please give it a look!!! I remember that game using the term "mother-loving" on numerous occasions and young me not getting what the hell they were talking about til the very end. I just thought it was a weird translation thing.
They DID make the phat PS2s in the auto color schemes. I know cuz I have one. They were QUITE limited. Initially part of an OPSM giveaway. Then some of them were sold both online and in certain Sony stores. I should really look into selling mine...
I know these are just supposed to be for funsies, but BOY is it frustrating watching these guys, mainly Alex, play this game. He's so nonreactive (if that's a word) to things. Some shots fire? He hides. Even with superior coverage. Guy leaps through a window into the building both he AND a healing teammate are occupying? He just sits there calling it out instead of raining bullets. I know the point of these videos is not to display expert play, but it seems like Alex doesn't even try. He is generally as non confrontational as possible. And that strategy just does not work for this game. Hell, calling it a "strategy" is a stretch. It's more of a misunderstanding of what this game is...
