The reason to like Garnett Lee is earnestness. Not a lot of podcast guests - much less podcast hosts - are willing to go out on a limb and risk looking foolish to talk about games in more theoretical or idealistic terms. But boy, he is. And he does. And when so much of video game discussion tends toward reactionary flame-bait (the fans) or bitter, ironic detachment (the press), it's nice to listen to someone who both has opinions, and is willing to defend them. It's interesting, in a way a hundred HUD- and dick-jokes sometimes aren't. Even when he happens to be totally, totally wrong about everything.
e: whoops, left my browser open over dinner and inadvertently bumped this thread~
Well, if he's anti-war but also anti-government spending, then that would make him a Libertarian, wouldn't it? I mean, in theory, at least. We don't have a whole lot of information. If only he had added an unrelated paragraph about gay rights to help us decide! In conclusion, I don't understand this game
I really liked the first minute of it, with the guitars and such. Then I thought the rest was pretty good too I guess. Overall I'd say trying harder seems to fit the Strokes pretty well I would say they should put them in the next guitar hero but... well, you know.
If I get the Dead Space equivalent of a high-tech samurai sword, I'll buy it twice. If I get to fight on the outside of the sprawl skyscrapers in zero-g I will buy it infinity times.
