ok so if i dont have new ps3 and old ps3 sit here together with me, i cant straight up backup to new ps3..... but theres a way for me to backup my stuff is to get an external hdd fat32 and transfer all the stuff from my old ps3 to it? then after i get my new ps3 i can transfer the stuff in the external hdd to my new ps3 right? im understanding right? and when you said external hdd fat32, do you mean like a a pc type external hdd? or theres an external hdd made for ps3?" You can try using the backup utility on the ps3. You will need a Fat32 formatted external hard drive. You will also need to activate the new system with your psn before you restore the backup or you will have to download your games from the store again. Worst case you can just copy your saved games to a flash drive and re-download the psn games on the new system unless you used all 5 activations. "
about my purchased psn games.... i dont mind downloading it again. so if i login my psn id on my new ps3.... i can get my hands on my purchased psn games right? then download it again from there? just need to make sure. right? so ok my psn games is not a deal.
now what i really concern and cared for is my game progress especially my tekken 6 rank. if i dont backup my file and when i login my psn id and play tekken 6 on my new ps3, i wont be having my rank right?
