Well, he went with the rest of the Whiskey Media guys I'm pretty sure. I think right now he's starting a new venture with Dave though, the last I heard.
@angouri: Sorry, I was under the impression I was allowed to own a phone for different reasons than you. I also forgot that if you dislike a game that means no one else should have any interest in it. I like how you conveniently left out Ridiculous Fishing, Year Walk, and Hundreds, just three off the top of my head.
I agree with you that mobile games are only good on larger screens. I mean the Nexus 4's screen is a whole .3" smaller than the Vita and .18" smaller than the top screen of a 3DS XL. Way too small to enjoy games on.
Lastly, I'm pretty sure I said: "excluding a handful" after which you proceed to name only a handful.
@liquidprince: I don't see how you saying you have the same games installed on your iPhone as your Note 2 has anything to do with anything I said, but ok.
Games are pretty nonexistent on Android. I just recently got a Nexus 4 thinking I'd be able to grab all of the mobile games that have been Quick Looked and the only one I found that had made it over was The Room. Android game recommendations are basically a list of the best of the worst excluding a handful.
I will one day when I manage to find my artist counterpart. Every time I try to start I feel the need to start with assets, I toss open Photoshop, hate every single thing I make and stop.
I've found the system is easy to cheese, you can finish every fight without ever taking damage by doing nothing besides countering, but I've found it's very hard to feel like a badass like the recent Batman games do. It's actually been a bit disappointing after all the good things I heard about the game. It's basically impossible to do anything interesting in large crowds because as soon as you start a combo someone will try to attack you and you'll have to counter out of it. The majority of the combat turns into <punch> <punch> <counter> and on hard fights you just end up standing around doing nothing but countering.
@Troispoint: I don't know, but with weekly passes being required for just about everything they're sure as hell not getting rid of subscriptions. Honestly this comes off as a limited trial with no duration restriction rather than the game going F2P.
@Troispoint: There are plenty of ways to implement microtransactions in a way that isn't completely disgusting. Requiring a weekly pass to do just about anything besides the main story is pretty ridiculous (the issue with it being weekly).
@Wuddel: As absurd as it is, it's not nearly the most egregious of the restrictions.
