Quick question: How long is the Destiny talk in this episode and is it obnoxious as it has been in the past?

It's like 10 straight minutes of Mark talking like a crazy person, and I say this as someone who likes Destiny just fine.

@yummylee: The gameplay part lives up to the hype, but I feel ya. I'm a little tired of everything being a "dynamic open-world sandbox" and if I'm going to be honest I still in principle prefer the more hand-crafted experiences of something like a Dishonored for my sneaking than the goofy reactive toybox that MGS V can be.

@spraynardtatum: I will fully admit that if I had paid $60 for Destiny when it came out I would've been pissed.

@loamlife:I got Path of Radiance new when it came out in 2005, but I'm really surprised how expensive that game (and Radiant Dawn) have become, on the level of Gamecube copies of Twilight Princess. I replayed Shadow Dragon fairly recently and... nah. You're good. It's the worst Fire Emblem game to reach western shores. I won't go as far as to say it's bad or anything, but it's optional at best if you're a fan of the series.

@sparky_buzzsaw: To be fair, I have trouble reading the text in those games sometimes and I have around 20/30 eyesight.

@fredchuckdave: I should try to eliminate the dumb filler words from my blogging, this is true. Another part of the reason why I didn't buy Heroes VII is because even though my computer barely ekes by the minimum system requirements said computer is not in a great place right now, which has crippled my PC gaming output a little. King's Bounty runs fine because that series has rock-bottom system requirements.

I AM STILL STUCK PLAYING FINAL FANTASY VIII OH GOD SOMEONE FREE ME FROM THIS MADNESS!!!!!!!!!

I can buy you a steam copy of Final Fantasy VII.

EDIT: I should probably actually address this blog, huh? Divekick is alright, but like every fighting game in existence you need someone, online or local, who is willing to play with you. I will say that it's a little too complex to be a dumb joke game you throw at your friends who don't play fighting games the same way you can throw something like Nidhogg or Towerfall at someone and have them immediately figure out what's going on.

You know, with you and Dan doing backblogs, I might steal your stolen idea the same way Microsoft stole Apple's idea that they stole from IBM.

These all seem doable, actually. A lot of bite-sized smaller games and a few slightly longer ones. You could probably finish Pokemon Snap in a single sitting, actually. It's not a very long game. My hypothetical backlog, on the other hand, has The Witcher 3 and my indecision on whether or not I actually want to play more Dragon Age Inquisition.... which I guess could probably be knocked through in a month or so. I'm sure you'll be more disciplined than I am regardless.

It probably says something about Destiny that even as I'm playing that very game I'm sorta zoning out during the Bombcast conversation on the same subject.
