Not sure if anyone has noticed this(I haven't read through the thread...) but I noticed that if you press jump before landing, Geralt does a roll instead of landing on his feet. I've been experimenting with it lightly since the threshold for taking way too much fall damage seems to be about 14 inches and I do seem to be taking less damage, or none at all, if I press jump before I land to roll.

EDIT: I just ran a few more tests and this seems to definitely be the case!

I've been REALLY enjoying this series, far more than I thought I would. I wouldn't consider myself a big Halo lore buff(I know some things here and there, read a couple of books in junior high) but I've been completely entranced by this audio series and I find myself looking forward to Sunday more and more as the week rolls to a close, and even recommending others listen to it.

I was a pretty big fan of the original but the difficulty in this one is just putting me off way too much. There are some levels where it feels less like I'm being presented a challenge and more like I'm being punished into trial and error gameplay of figuring out what exactly will work and what won't, and often those plans can be undone depending on which enemies do or don't hear gunfire. And then there's the whole issue of the levels being too long, and enemies that are far, far off screen killing me, and...

I dunno. I don't think I can finish this one because I just don't have the patience for what it's trying to do.
