Really excited about this. One thing I'm curious about is whether or not I will get Black for free since I bought it when it was BC on the 360.

And I don't wanna sound demanding, but I hope GB covers this in some way, maybe on a UPF or something.

I know that Rayman and the Rabbids are pretty much a separate thing now, but it would be awesome to see him, Globox, and the gang on a tactical battlefield in HD like this. It would make for some nice locales to explore later in the game too.

This seems like a great opportunity for an epic crossover, cuz while Mario and Rabbids is quirky and weird, Mario and Rayman being in a game together would be historic. I hope he at least makes a cameo.

@arabes: I love how nobody replies for 20 minutes, and I come back to this. Please just ignore the topic, that shit is not funny or helpful.

Anyway I found it: http://www.polygon.com/2017/3/3/14801794/nintendo-switch-eshop-purchases-digital-access-transfer-saves

tl;dr yes, but you have to unlink your account from the Switch, so not a big deal.

I don't have a Switch yet, but I would like to play through Snipperclips with my buddy. I was gonna make an account on his console and buy it, but does that mean it will only be on his system, or will I have access to it when I eventually log into my own?

I was in my room watching the press conference with my sister, we were both sooooo bored throughout the whole thing, and then this trailer came on and it looked so badass. Can't believe it took so long to come out.

@hippie_genocide: honestly, even as a huge fan, I can admit that it's a fairly simple (though challenging) platformer. however, it's the setting and the music that make it so special, it's like Nightmare Before Christmas meets Mardi Gras. It's also very tongue in cheek, with Vince delivering deadpan one liners in response to most things that happen the game, and it just adds to the charm. I'm excited to see it gain a new audience.

Early 2017. If they can tighten up some of the more frustrating parts of the game, as well as uprezz to 1080p/60fps, we are in for a 3D platforming renaissance next year, with this, Yooka-Laylee, and hopefully A Hat in Time!

EDIT: Here's the teaser trailer.

"Voodoo Vince is coming back! Beep Games, Inc. is hard at work on an updated HD version of the classic character platformer from 2003."

The original developers are handling the HD remaster, rather than outsourcing it to another studio as is the norm for these things. This is looking like a real labour of love.

@hayt: Yep, there's a bunch of unlockable missions that take place between episodes 6 and 7, all canon too.

I have always been a fan of the TT LEGO games, though I don't play every single one as they do tend to get boring and same-y. However, the original LEGO Star Wars has always held a place in my heart since I'm a huge fan of both franchises, and after trying the demo for this one it's clear that they've stepped their game up. This game does such a great job with world building, puzzles, and overall variety. All the huge battle scenes are intact and put you squarely in the middle of the action, and when it pulls in close for some cover-based shooting, it's surprisingly intense. I particularly love the dogfighting segments they've added, they've got really strong Rogue Squadron vibes.

The thing I love most about the game though, is how much they've fleshed out the universe of The Force Awakens. The hub worlds of Jakku, Takodana, the Millenium Falcon and others are all open and explorable, and the Star Wars geek in me really appreciated that since I can get immersed in these new (and old) places. It's actually giving me a lot more appreciation for the movie, seeing how well these new worlds fit into the overall universe, and I'm impressed at how they have made almost every scene from the movie playable. Pretty much any scene that isn't strictly dialogue is represented as a playable segment in the game, even very short ones like Rey surfing down the dune on Jakku or Finn fixing the Falcon after they escape. I'm also very interested in seeking out those gold bricks to get the hidden EU levels, it's so great that stuff was included here.

I was SUPER skeptical of this game when it was announced. I thought that full-price for a LEGO game that's only based on a single film sounded like a huge ripoff, but after seeing the attention to detail and sheer content they have in this game, I'm convinced. This is seriously a great package if you would call yourself a Star Wars fan and you don't mind playing a game with permalife. Yeah, I just made that term up. Honestly, I wouldn't mind a bit more challenge or a harder difficulty setting, but the game's strength and core gameplay is its puzzles and exploration anyway so I'm not too bothered about the whole no-losing thing.

I hope that they make 2 more games in the same vein for the next two movies and then make one ultra game with all the hubs on one world map, 700 gold bricks, and billions and billions of studs worth of junk to buy. Hell, throw in The Complete Saga with updated lighting and textures, and we've got ourselves the ultimate Star Wars toy game.
