My favourite game is SoulCalibur for the Dreamcast, so a little bit of all of these categories since it was also extremely well-received upon release. It's one of those games that I feel is always going to stand the test of time, and I think it's special because it's a 1v1 fighting game that is totally accessible but also quite technical if you want it to be. Plus, Nightmare and his big sword.

@dannyhibiki: I called them, and they said pretty much the same thing as what the other guy got. Monkey Paw is waiting on a response from Sony, and until that gets cleared up, customer service can't do anything about it.

I saw that they finally added the English version to the PSN Store, and I was pretty unhappy with how it seemed like I'd have to pay for it again. FYI, the Japanese version was falsely advertised as the English version on the PlayStation Store last year when it launched, and a handful of people including myself were duped into buying it.

It appears that wasn't the case: http://monkeypawgames.com/2015/11/how-to-get-your-tomba-2-in-english-if-you-purchased-the-japanese-version/

They claim that Sony was going to mail out codes to people who purchased the Japanese version, but so far not a single person has received a code, and someone even said Sony told them on the phone that it was not gonna happen.

I checked with Sony customer support and they said that they will not be sending instructions for how to download the English version of the game. I sent them a link to this article, and they said you were mistaken.

As of now, this issue has still not been resolved. I really hope they fix it, I would love to be able to play Tomba! 2 again without paying twice.

I gave my sister our shared PS2 and PS3 and bought replacements, so sort of. I've also considered getting my friends to pitch on a Dreamcast for their place since they play fighters a lot. But if I want to play Xbox One or something at my dad's, I bring mine in a backpack.

I played Sonic CD on it and damn is it ever nice to use the One D-Pad instead of the 360 one. Let's hope King of Fighters XIII and Skullgirls get added to the BC list soon.

So not only is it wireless, it also acts as a TV remote, much like the Wii U GamePad. Until today, I thought Nintendo had been the first people with a wireless controller AND the first to have a controller operate the TV. Granted, this thing takes up both controller ports and is ludicrously expensive, but it's still very interesting that this exists. I kinda want it.

@bobafettjm: it's not bad! Combat is very simple, but they nail the atmosphere and characters. The bosses all have musical numbers while you fight them, which is a nice touch. It's worth owning if you're a fan of the movie and you're up for playing a kid-friendly Devil May Cry. It only cost me 10 bucks at a local shop.

Also, here are some more stacks:

God bless the stacks.

I'll buy physical copies until they stop making them. I like having a collection, and I hardly bought into playing and trading even as a kid.

I remember one time was particularly crappy. I went to my local game store and traded in my PSOne, my clear purple Game Boy Color, a copy of Echo Night: Beyond and some other stuff, don't remember what I got but I do remember thinking it was a bad deal. I had a PS2 and a GBA at the time (still do!), but looking back, I actually wish I had kept all that instead of selling it off and getting nothing of value.

I do trade games in once in a while though. I traded in a few games at EB for Destiny on PS3 back when it launched, and then I traded that copy of Destiny to another local shop in exchange for a $25 Xbox card to buy Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition. That was pretty great.

@clairvoyantvibrations: I absolutely loved Second Sight when I played it. The gameplay is decent, but the narrative is what sold it for me. Even if it's not the greatest story in the world, I really enjoyed how they presented it. I felt the same way about Haze, which is another okay game with a good story that suffered from being REALLY overhyped and trying to compete with Halo even though it's completely different.
