I typically only used Steam for sales and indie games. I prefer consoles, so I use Steam about the same as I always have thought I've noticed I buy less games on Steam because the sales are not as great as they used to be.

I think it's the best Metroidvania ever made, but honestly it seems like you probably won't enjoy it that much. I know some people who played it complained about the map system and about getting lost for a while, even though I have zero complaints related to that. I wasn't in love with it for the first hour or two, but eventually something just clicked and it became so much more engaging. So if you do play it, definitely play it for a couple hours so it has time to show you some of its beauty.

I felt this way too and honestly was not enjoying my time until after the first boss.

The map system is fine, but I wished it gave you a little more nudge in the direction to go. I know that goes against the initial design/appeal, but i personally don't have time to get lost for long stretches of time. I'm not afraid to admit I've used a walkthrough a few times just because I had no idea where to go, especially after the 2nd boss fight

Always Sunny...

The possibilities are endless....because of the Implication...

Make it a 2D side-scroller coop beat em up where you have to fight the Nightman as the final boss.

Between each level, you beat up Cricket a la the car in Street Fighter to earn extra coins to buy upgrades/items etc.

You can unlock various outfits for each character based off of certain episodes that give each character a certain perk. Like 'Fat Mac' gives Mac extra strength or Dee in a bird outfit that gives her flight.

Do you like Dark Souls? If so then I think you'll like it. Its very unforgiving the first few hours in. If you like like that style, then yeah. Its on sale on Steam and Switch right now for less than $10

@shalashaskauk666: Its funny as I typically DON'T like these style of games (I HATED Rogue Legacy) but I absolutely love this game, helps that I'm playing on Switch. I like that some stuff carries over and some doesn't. I'm about 15-18 runs in and I've faced the Hand once (oddly enough I can't teleport yet, I havent found that upgrade) I assume there is a wall jump or something else as there are parts I cant reach. I've unlocked a ton of blueprints and weapons, but I find that my builds are fairly similar each time anyways
