I'm buying it Day 1. Loved the 2013 reboot and Rise. They are great! Also, I think if you preorder it, you get it 3 days early ( maybe that's digital only?) Kinda weird its not Crystal Dynamics this time, but I think the foundation was already there.
I just hate that it comes out the week after Spider-Man
I dont really know how to answer that. I bought Injustice 2 and the "Season Pass' on the same day, full price.
I bought Far Cry 5 regular edition and will wait until the price for the Season Pass drops down at least 50% before getting it.
Wolfenstein 2. I bought the game finished it. Bought the all the DLC campaigns AFTER they were all released for 50% off, then played through all 3 on a weekend.
Horizon Zero Dawn. I pre-ordered the Frozen Wilds and jumped back into HZD the day the DLC dropped.
Mafia 3. I bought the base game and finished it. I've never even considered getting the DLC.
I skipped Shadow of War and now will prob pick up the 'complete' edition with all the DLC
For me, it all just kinda depends on the content and whether I want to dive back in.
@captain_insano: I totally get what you're saying. I had a 2 week hiatus from gaming after I finished God of War because I knew there was nothing that was going to be as great, then after that two weeks, I decided to jump into my backlog, tackling games with genres completely different.
Odyssey is fine. Opinion hasn't changed. I occasionally go back and get a few moons.
I know I'm in the minority here, but i thought BotW was a dreadfully boring game. I've tried 3 times and put over 20 hours into it and just it feels so empty and directionless, never mind the fact its virtually unplayable with Joy-cons. Controls just feel so cumbersome with the Joy-Cons. I've heard its better with the Pro, but I shouldn't have to spend $70 for something to make it playable imo. I just feel like BotW is a bad Zelda game and an even worse open world game and I love open world games. I bought a Switch specifically to play it, but I just can't get into it at all.
Overall, I think its a fine system. Its a great way to play games that came out 2+ years ago. I bought Sonic Mania and Hollow Knight on it just so I would have something 'new' to play on it.
Lots of reasons, but mostly because they are two completely different style of games, both mechanically and tonally. Plus, you'd never be able to have an MK game play like SF and vice versa. Tekken and Street Fighter worked because they are much more similar.
Plus personally, if it played like SF than I want no part of it. I also dont like Street Fighter. Ppl cant hate on Netherrealm all they want, but part of the appeal is that it is so approachable for 'casuals'. The fighting game community is one of the worst sub-communities in the gaming.
