So it has been awhile. Time to dust this thing off.

Hey everyone,

I noticed I haven't posted anything here in a long time. I still lurk around the site from time to time and have noticed a more hostile forum. Is this normal now? Anyway I hope everyone is doing well. Would love to hear from some of you (Hopefully you all are still here.).

Take care!

UMVC3, a reunion & circle pit! OH MY!

Hello everybody!

I've been busy as usual now. So I haven't had a lot of time to actually game. But I am working on helping some friends stream their UMVC3 matches for a local friendly tournament. If we can get a place locked down I'll post the stream up here or on my site so you all can watch the craziness that happens. We are shooting for it to go down on June 16th. Keep your fingers crossed!

But seriously I haven't been playing anything at all. Which feels depressing but also relieving. Not having to feel pressured or the "itch" to keep up just gives me time to breathe. I will not have a whole lot longer to breathe because I have a family reunion coming up. It'll be good to see everyone on my Dad's side. Should be fun!

As far as me getting out and doing stuff I've been to a Less Than Jake concert. It was a lot of fun. I ran into some friends kinda by accident. Nothing like a circle pit in front of you and then from that pit your friend jumps out right next to ya. Also I went to the Ghost Recon midnight launch at GS even though I had no desire to play the game after I bought it.

So all is good. Hope all is well to everyone who reads this.

Why did I just buy Breach on XBLA?

Hello everyone!

You might have noticed I took the old blog post about Uwe movie Rampage down. I just thought it was kinda in poor taste at the time. Cause like the next day the Arizona shooting happened with the governor. So if you are wondering why that blog went away...there ya go.

Anyway what to talk about? So I bought Arena Football tickets for the Carolina Speed who play in the Southern Indoor Football League. I'll be at like the 10 or 20 yard line front row. That should be awesome. Nothing like loud music, fast action & hard hits of arena football. Speaking of sports I've also been to a couple of Charlotte Checkers games. All of those games have been a blast to go too.

On to some vid-e-o game talk. So I bought Breach on the Xbox 360 and I'm already filled with regret. Sadly I didn't watch the quick look of Breach so I didn't know any better. Nothing like everyone playing the same map over and over. Also it has some pretty bad lag issues. Now i feel like I'm playing it just to get my money out of it. It's just kind of a badly designed game. Nothing much else to it. I think I might actually try reviewing Breach.  I haven't haven't reviewed a game in GOD knows how long. So this should be interesting. Click here to see the GB quick look.  Go to the video below to watch some gameplay of Breach.

Four Year Strong was great.I talked to Mike Birbiglia & USC lost.

I went to the Four Years Strong concert at Amos' Southend in Charlotte, NC. I must say it was great. Crowd surfering, hardcore dancing, moshing, circle pits & stage diving all happened. I did not partake in any of the madness. I just watched. It was well worth the $13.00 bucks for the ticket. So that was on Thursday and on Friday I went to go see Mike Birbiglia perform comedy.

His new stand up is geared more for the older crowd. like the married couples and stuff but I still found it funny and got some good chuckles out. It was well worth the $40.00 bucks to go see him  perform and meet him. He signed his book for me and I got to talk to Mike for a little bit. I left before I felt like I was annoying him. Here is the picture of me and Mike Birbiglia.

My eyes are looking at my dad. I can't remember what he said though. Something smart-ass though. So that's why my eye's look all f***ed up.

Then I went down to USC and watched the football game. It was painful to watch, but it was my first college football game and that was a cool experiance. There is nothing like hearing euro/techno during every kick off and seeing the student section jump up and down non-stop till the ball is kicked during kick offs.

Well Thanksgiving is not all that far off. I'm sure something crazy will happen. Last year my cousin Jack brought crazy high powered airsoft guns and we were shooting them at one another at random times inside the house and out. Who knows what will happen this year? Hopefully not paintball... or a real gun....

Anyway I'm off!

Getting ready for a jam packed week/end

So it'll all start on Thursday where I'll go see Four Year Strong at Amos' Southend. I saw them at Warped Tour this year and enjoyed them a lot. I have no clue who all is playing before them though. But if you have never heard of Four Year Strong here is a taste of what they sound like. Here is a B-Side from them called "Bad News Bearz".

Then I go see comedian Mike Birbiglia at the Knight Theatre on Friday. I have been a fan of his ever since his first special on Comedy Central. My dad and I are going to go see him perform. So that will be some good father and son time. If you have never seen or heard of Mike Birbiglia here is a taste of his comedy.

So then I go to my sister's appartment and crash there. Then I go to the USC game on Saturday. Which I think will be on ESPN or ESPN3. So look for me! So watch out.

An update on life. Also I'll be 21 in two days.

So what's up everyone?

I've been busy interning for a certain Hockey team. It's been fun meeting all the players and people. I must say it's weird to walk in an arena with hardly anyone in it when it's all locked up. I have some time to kill now when I'm not helping at the arena. So expect me on here some now.

Anyway I'll be 21 in two days....kinda weird to think about that. I went ahead and bought my own b-day present and became a paid member of Giant Bomb. Pretty cool eh?

That has been basically my life. Interning and Giant Bomb have kept me saine.

I'll see you on Xbox live, PSN (That's right I got a PS3 again!), Giant Bomb or Facebook. If you want to be my friend on Facebook just send me a message.

Back!

So what's up people?

It's been way to long. I've played a couple of matches of Xbox Live with some of you. I also talk to some of you on Facebook. So yeah some of you know how my life has been going with my weird status updates on there. So yeah... If you've caught any of my status updates life has been moving. Even if I don't want it to do so. But that's life so can't really complain. Life is life so enjoy it while you have it.

Colin (Whos GiantBomb name escapes my mind right now. Sorry.) and I have started a hockey site called www.caniacandleafer.com . Nothing to special at the moment. We'll shake the nerves off once we get the podcast going. I tend to cover the now AAA team the Checkers of the AHL and rules for some reason. Colin mainly covers the leafs, rosters and trades. So we'll see how it goes soon.

Now for the good stuff! As far as gaming is going I've played so much Skate 3 that my thumbs might fall off. I'm ready to play some Red Dead Redemption and Alan Wake next tuesday. I'm ready to read the book that comes with the game Alan Wake in the limited edition. Hopefully it's good.  Also is anyone else pumped for Test Drive Unlimited 2? I am because it seems like Eden understands that the controls were kinda weird along with some other things. After reading the past OXM issue I felt like I would enjoy this game for $50 dolla.

I ordered District B13. It's an epic free running action movie. Don't be fooled by the sequel though. The first one is actually really, really, really good. Speaking of movies I went and saw The Losers. The Losers was alright. It just annoyed me that they didn't have any blood. I know some of you are going  to say ... "Duh it's PG-13!" I say go back and watch 007 movies and even they have some blood in them. Anyway enough of that I like the new Whiskey Media site Screened.com. Looks sharp and pretty.

I'm still alive and now 20.

Sorry folks for not being on Giant Bomb as much. I've been mostly in the shadows, lurking. I'll try my best to start getting out more .That being said I think I'll move on.

So now I turn 20 today. That's right today. If you read this at another date it's the 19th of October at this time. I had the family over for a cook out  two nights ago and that was pretty fun. I got some cash which will help me buy Borderlands tonight at midnight. The rest will go into the bank. It's weird to think I'm 20. I was told by my Dad "You're all grown up." But the problem is I feel like I'm still sixteen. Is that bad?  Maybe I'm not giving myself credit for other things... Anyway enough rambling from me.

I'm out to go watch some Futurama.

Cameron

PS: Thanks to all my Giant Bomb friends on my Facebook who sent B-Day wall posts. You all ROCK!
