Congrats and welcome!
It's killah time.
"I only do eyes."I see you, @vinny.
Shocked that @danryckert didn't know Gackt. He appeared in the Japanese Metal Gear Solid 2 ads, which are also, clearly, Death Stranding prequels:
@axersia: lol who shat in your cereal this morning?
The first thing Austin does it talk about his amazing Breath of the Wild series. It just seemed appropriate to bring it up.
I'm getting the same thing in Norway, but I'm guessing someone just checked the wrong box in their CMS because it seems to only apply to that one video. Also, it's available on their Youtube-channel, which is arguably a better player anyway.
It's with all their videos, though. I check their site every now and then to see if anything's changed, and it's been like that for months.
And yeah, I know they also have a YouTube channel. Still, it leaves a terrible first impression when I can't watch their videos, only to find out I can't even leave a comment to point it out to them either, as Waypoint apparently doesn't believe in community.
Many sites struggle to get users to their website as their YouTube channel ends up being way more popular (Tested comes to mind). If YouTube offers more functionality (comments, actually being able to watch the damn videos) than the actual site, that clearly isn't helping them.
Just saying, Waypoint needs to get their shit together.
Waypoints not including a comment section is likely because of the political nature of much of what they do and write about. As someone who (as a capitalist) doesn't agree with much of what they write I hate not having it also but given the nature of discourse on the internet/facebook it is probably the right decision.
Also you had Austin on and no persona 5 talk or Tokyo Mirage Sessions Talk? Want to hear Austin's Take on these games!
Quick notes on this!
1. I really appreciate comments about region locking being a pain because I can point to them to help us show why we need region locking not to be a pain. My understanding is, basically, that non-English language regional offices go in and lock non-local language videos right now. It's a thing I'm working on changing, but that I also understand—it'd suck to have my vids buried by stuff from halfway across the world, too. But being able to point to comments that say "Hey, I'm in location X, I want to watch these videos, but I can't," helps me make the fixes necessary to address this.
2. As Danielle mentioned on Monday's ep of Waypoint Radio, we have a forum coming soon for thoughtful folks to chat about articles and other stuff. We also have a super active Waypoint fan Discord where people talk about all sort of things, including (but not limited to): Mechs, anime, sports, eSports, esports, Esports, and video games.
3. I'm just past the first dungeon in P5, but needed a break from big games before digging back into it in a big way!
@drew "Here's one I made earlier" goes on the big pile of under-appreciated Drew jokes.
A ha, is this the run?
