@relkin:

Sorry if that was my fault. I added the little note about not talking to her in case you tried that expecting to be given a choice, but then I realized that might've been confusing.

But hey, what you just did is easily the hardest challenge in the game (except maybe Boss Rush), so anything else the game throws at you will be a breeze. Might as well try for 100% completion now.

@relkin: Ultimate and Boss Rush are unlocked by beating Normal using only Zangetsu, killing all your potential allies along the way. Just play the first stage again, kill Miriam with your sword, and you'll see what a Zangetsu-only run is all about. That's all I'll say.

Thought about getting one of these but I couldn't decide on how much storage. John Carmack tweeted that support for external storage is coming, and those Micro USB to Micro SD adapters can get crazy tiny. On the other hand, you probably wouldn't be able to install games to it (not unless you root the device, anyway).

Spending 270 euros for the extra 32GB seems a bit much, not to mention that would put it in PSVR territory. But there still isn't much in the way of games out there (I'd play Skyrim VR and that's about it, I think), and the Go is supposed to have a much better viewing experience (not to mention portability), so I think I should go with that.

On the other hand, with PSVR I could just buy a 3D Blu-Ray of Blade Runner 2049, pop that into my PS4, and have it go. Getting 3D movies on the Go is a hassle...

Yeah, I can't decide what to get now. But the whole appeal for me was the 220 euro price point, so maybe I should just get this over with and buy the thing.

So uhhh, what was the twist again? I heard through various Tested videos/podcasts how the Russo brothers were apparently tweeting that you needed to get your ass into a theater ASAP, because this was one movie you did not wanna have spoiled for you.

Yeah, I know, "Of course they'd say that." But I dunno, it was talked up like something big was gonna happen other than just a bunch of characters dying. And the deaths weren't even that convincing. I mean, Spider-Man and Black Panther? Really? Yeah, those will definitely stay dead I'm sure.

On the other hand, had it been one of the originals, it would've been too obvious and also disappointing as a result. Perhaps they have something in store for the next movie that will make their potential deaths more meaningful.

Oh yeah, and Red Skull, whatever.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the movie. It was extremely fun seeing the entire MCU cast (minus Ant-Man and Hawkeye) come together, but that's all it was. An incredibly fun action romp. Maybe next movie they can do something actually crazy and try to bring X-Men/Deadpool into the MCU.

Oh boy, finally beat the Valkyrie Queen after spending way too long stubbornly trying to beat her with my setup as-is. I finally grabbed one more piece of Ivaldi's Cursed Armor, lit all the braziers for a -5% damage from Valkyries, and gave Atreas the armor that makes him heal you, and she was no problem at all.

Kind of in the mood to play the game on God of War now, but I've heard it's not very fun and all the enemies have far too much health. Anyone here have experience with the mode?

Oh man, Justice Monsters V... I'd completely forgotten that thing even existed. Don't think I ever touched it in FF15.

I wouldn't put this in the same category as that, though. "JusMon" was clearly designed as a phone game, taking inspiration from what was popular in Japan at the time, and I'm sure SE was secretly hoping for it to reach that same level.

These are just some harmless Game & Watch clones. Which is kinda weird because it's not even coming to a Nintendo platform (yet), but whatever.

Hopefully you can earn something decent for playing them, because I remember being pretty good at that Game & Watch Gallery game back on the original Game Boy.

Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly is pretty bad, but it's essentially Spyro 4. You will still hear Stewart Copeland's music, all the sound effects are the same, the voice actors, the lore (ha!), etc. It's just a horribly stripped-down version of Spyro that felt like it was made in 6 months. I played it on GameCube and it runs alright there, but I've been told the PS2 version's unbearable in both framerate and its bugginess.

It'll be a nostalgia trip. The lost Spyro game you never played. On the other hand, with the remaster trilogy so close, there's not as much reason to seek this one out.

Spyro: A Hero's Tail is the far better game, but it's a soft-reboot. It's supposed to be set in the original continuity, but everything's been changed. The art direction, voice actors, humor, music, sound effects, level design, etc. The game feels more like the original Jak & Daxter than Spyro. That said, I'd call it a hidden-gem. Probably the worst-selling game in the series, but a fine platfformer in its own right.

Spyro: Season of Flame and Spyro: Attack of the Rhynocs (a.k.a. Spyro Adventure in Europe) are two excellent GBA games. They could've just turned Spyro into a side-scroller, but they made it an isometric platformer that plays great and really captures the feel of the PS1 games.

I wouldn't recommend Season of Ice as much. It's a bit buggy and it requires you to 100% it just to beat it. On the other hand, you could just input the level-warp cheat and not have to worry about some of the absurd challenges it requires you to complete, which is what I did. All 3 games are set in the original continuity.

I've only played a little bit of the first Legend of Spyro game, but it didn't do anything for me.

Enjoying it a lot, though I would say you have to be someone that likes Level 5's light, fluffy JRPGs like Rogue Galaxy.

I'd say the opposite, honestly. Rogue Galaxy was a hardcore dungeon-crawler. Sure, it wasn't the most difficult game in the world, but after you landed on a new planet and got through the story bits, it'd be dungeon-crawlin' time for the next few hours of your life.

Ni no Kuni has more in common with Level-5's contemporary work. Everything one might consider old-school Level-5 has been heavily simplified. The kingdom building, for example, could've been ripped straight from Dark Cloud and no one would've complained, yet they went with a mobile clicker.

I do miss the old days of Level-5... They were one of my favorite devs during the PS2 era, but I really don't pay attention to them anymore. Not that they care. They're perfectly content being one of Japan's top game development companies doing what they do now.

I'm maybe most bothered by Roland(?) getting used to this magical world super quickly not really commenting in any way to the beginning of the game besides the very start, but I assume that the game gets back to it by the end.

At the moment the most frustrating thing was to notice that I need to upgrade my main building in order to progress in the story and can't do it without recruiting a bunch of more citizens. Not a hard thing to do, just kinda frustrating when I want to stick to the main story at this point and skip the mostly uninteresting side missions.

The easiest way to get citizens is through the Taskmaster. There's one in every town. I don't believe he gets a proper introduction but he has an icon on the minimap.

As for Roland... Ehhh... Sure... Not really. It can't be stressed enough how little story and character development is in this game.

@seikenfreak:

It all comes down to how much time you spend on side activities. If you've done a lot of grinding on regular mobs, it'd make sense your hour count's higher than mine as I never really did. What I did do is a few runs of world map exploration, picking up all the chests I missed earlier, and steamrolling all the tainted monsters that are now super easy but still give crazy amounts of EXP. My tip for the game is to just leave them alone until you get the airship so you can knock them off real fast. Any other means of grinding just isn't worth it.

Also, don't worry about those warnings and just keep playing. Even before fighting the final boss you can just warp out and do whatever you want.

If you've cleared Broadleaf at 30, I'd give you another 5 hours or so.
