Jeff is so wrong about slack threads man. When we don't use threads at work and there's several conversations going on at once it makes our channels a complete mess and it's impossible to follow any of it. I imagine it depends somewhat on your team size though.
This is the first I've heard/seen GiantBomb care about twitch raids, they called out a couple of raids sent their way, and then raided Dan at the end. It could just be coincidence, but I have to assume this is in line with their effort to expand their content-creation pool beyond the core team. It seems like a smart move to get a little more involved with the twitch streamer community given the direction they want to take the site.
Kubernetes is incredible. Been using it at work for a couple years after just using Docker before. It took some getting used to but that extra layer of management and features you get from a k8s cluster are so, so worth the time invested to learn the ins and outs. That being said, for general one-off runs of random apps/services as an end user, Docker will do. Kubernetes is much more suited for orchestrating enterprise systems with many services.
I Agree on all the UI hate, it really is amazingly bad, which makes the fact that I keep coming back for more of the core gameplay more remarkable. As bad as it is, it is worth dealing with for me, but I hope it improves A LOT. I was really hoping for this to come out and be THE de facto Trackmania game, and it probably will be that, but it needs work in everything that's not the core gameplay.
