Currently moving my pc and consoles from the living room to an office where I will be doing all my gaming. I will be playing PC as well as console games on this monitor and I am looking for some recommendations. I have a BENQRL2455 currently in the house but I want to get something better. Looking to see what you duders use and recommend. I listed the consoles and video card I plan to purchase in the next 2-3 months. I would like to do 4k and HDR10 at 120hz for the xbox if possible.

Xbox One X

PS4 Pro

Nvidia 2070 super

Looking into the following....

BenQ 28" EL2870U

BenQ EX3203R

Viewsonic XG3220

Dell U Series 27" U2718Q

Looking at the specs in the comment sections

MOBO is the B450M - MSI or Gigabyte the in-store had MSI board on it

GPU was a gigabyte RTX 2070 comes with Anthem and Division 2

The memory I couldn't tell but I can always upgrade later. Same goes with the CPU heatsink I could buy a wraith prism off amazon to change out the stock cooler

I have built many PC's in the past but I felt the same way as the components were very close to one another. I could use the $100 to go to a new monitor as well. I just get weary buying prebuilt. COuld also go up to a 2080 but I dont know if thats overkill or not.

Hey Duders! Looking to get a new PC for my new Game room and had a few thoughts. Wanted to get the opinion of my fellow bombers and see if I am going overkill on a prebuilt pc or if I am saving and gaining more buying the parts individually and assembling the PC myself. First on the list is the prebuilt followed by the individual pieces I wanted to get. I chose AMD based upon price and wanting to play games and stream in the future, Also all items are being purchased at Best buy due to receiving a few good gift cards from a work contest but plan to price match as much as possible.

Thoughts and recommendations always help. I plan to play games on this box and stream from time to time. I plan to get a new monitor for this PC as well as connect this to my 4k TV in my game room.

First off thanks everyone who has looked/commented on this. I appreciate this. I think I will keep my current MOBO/CPU and just get the other upgrades (GPU, RAM, SSD). I desperately need a new case/case fans and heatsink, i think i have stock still. Any recommendations for those? I like a clean case and dont care for the fany LEDs or windows. I like funky colors though. Hell at this point would it be worth getting a 1070/1080? or is that overkill? My psu is a Antec High Current Gamer HCG-900 900w Power Supply. I placed a link below. Same goes for the ram? any recommendations for that? Might as well toss in everything else. I am an open book and have not been into PC gaming for very long. TEACH ME DUDDERS!!

Duders,

I have just recently moved into a new home and had the whole house wired up with ethernet. At my apt, I was using FIOS with zero I mean no issues at all. After we move I see Uverse is the only game in town in my area and I am ok with that. I got 45mbps down since that was the highest I an get until fiber comes early next year. My issue is that my Xbox only gets about 1-4mbps on downloads and usually hangs in the lower section. I have setup port forwarding via the PACE 5268AC router and even tried setting the Xbox with a static IP and still i get nothing. I can not be the only duder out there with this issue and plead for more to share the wisdom and such they have to help me maximize my DL speed for my digital library.

Also as an FYI my line into the home connects to a gigabit switch in the attic space. That then splits down to each of the ports in the wall including my bedroom where the modem sits. My only other thought would be to have att come out and we move my modem to the game room with all the console in it and plugs into that. Again i figured someone has had this issue and has fixed it.

I will start this by saying I would like to go wireless if at all possible. I primarily game in my game room and don't want cords running to the console. Also, my son/dog will be in and out at times causing a trip issue. I have had a pair of the ASTRO A50's and I found them heavy and uncomfortable. I don't like my ears to get hot when i am playing so yeah the cooler the better. I have been reading up and people are saying the Hyper Cloud X II's are very good and a decent price but i wanted to have the duders weigh in on this topic. What do you guys use and what have you heard. I will be using these for my XO/PS4 only and will also use on the PS VR.

Thanks!

They are both good but if you really want low input lag you're going to have to look at something like this,

https://www.amazon.com/Asus-VG248QE-24-inch-Ergonomic-Back-lit/dp/B00B2HH7G0?ie=UTF8&SubscriptionId=14H876SFAKFS0EHBYQ02&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B00B2HH7G0&linkCode=xm2&psc=1&tag=eggcoupon-20

Or if not, I would get the Asus in your selection.

I would second this monitor suggestion. Boyfriend has it on his PC and it's great. I use his PC instead of mine for work actually (remote drafting from home), and when he's not home for games.

So picture quality is good? I have seen this one come up in numerous scenarios and it looked good as well. I hate that I am a sucker for the bezel free displays.
