I highly expect RE2 Remake to be my FHO2019GOTY (First half of 2019 Game Of The Year) once i come around to play it but for now it's Total War by far for me. After this it's Apex and i know it doesn't count, but No Man's Sky is fantastic,
Yeah, it will be Resident Evil 7 for me. I think they timed that pretty cleverly, we have quite the hole in january and winter always feels more atmospheric for horror-games, at least for me with the long nights and all. Also the demo and media-reactions seem to promise a good game departing from the gameplay of the last few entries, so there's at least a huge chunk of curiosity on my part.
This looks fine? Not mind blowing or anything but I don't understand where there 'this looks like shit' responses are coming from.
I imagine this trailer was made to some marketing forumula for mass appeal, even if parts come of kinda lame to people familiar to the franchise.
The "Meh this looks shit"-responses are mostly just internet-grumpyness i guess. Especially if there´s nothing more to the post.
I think it´s... funny how much the trailer looks like the games. Someone up in the production chain really played a lot of this. But that´s also the reason why this propably could appear cheesy to a lot of people. What works in games totally doesn´t have to work in a non-interactive medium. But i´m really hopeful as the talent included is really outstanding, the production-value seems high and Fassbender.
Oh, and no way this is coming in December. Mark my words!
3 is the best one by far and it introduces Sirius Black as a main-character, the coolest dude in this whole universe. I didn´t like 4 but it´s really action-heavy and shows a lot of wizard-stuff like Quidditch and other schools and so on, so that could be the easiest one to "get in". 3 is a bit more complex in it´s relationship to the main-storyarc. 5 is too long, 6 goddamn awful and finishing with the last one.. Well, you could do that, but it blows the whole emotional factor away to do so.
But to be totally honest, HP-Movies are all pretty dependent on what´s happened before.
