@dya:You should be safe to watch up until about 0:38:00 , at which point you will definitelywant to stop the video (specifically, you'll want to stop the video before 0:38:09, when Brad encounters a spider the size of a monster truck)
That was the point that I had to bounce out, personally. Your mileage may vary though. If your particular phobia also applies to stuff like ants, you'll probably want skip the video altogether. Hope that helps a fellow arachnophobe!
This is an all time great video
@jyrque: On a similar note (and I didn't know this until I watched a "things the game doesn't tell you, but probably should" video), when you grab onto an object, look at the outline. If it's yellow, if means it's pretty much impossible to move manually (usually because it's still connected to something). If the outline is blue, then it means it's within the range of what you can feasibly drag around with your grapple tool. That doesn't mean a piece with a yellow outline can't be dragged around manually, but you'll have extremely little (if any) impact on it.
In my experience, the yellow/blue threshold seems to be somewhere around the mass of a free-floating chunk of nanocarbon outer hull from the topside of a Gecko class ship.

@spiketail: @cr0ssbow: I'm not 100% certain on this, but I think it might have been an issue with his tools' durability. He was going in with a cutter at like 20%, and I'm not sure if the constant sparks coming out of it are just visual effects or if they could be starting some of the mysterious fires that kept happening.
Side note: Repair kits are cheap, and money doesn't even really matter anyway, so there's no reason not to keep your tools in good condition.
Dang, they sure have added a lot of characters to the game in the 6+ years since I last played it. Back in my day, there were like 4 characters.
Hell yeah, an Abby/Ben/Jan QL!
