@BisonHero: I felt the exact same way about Sword & Sworcery. I think it does have some legitimately interesting parts towards the end, but much of the rest of the game felt like little more than a contrived vehicle for Jim Guthrie's demo tape.

As for suggestions, Where's My Water? is an absolutely delightful puzzle game. And I don't know how many of them are out on iOS, but most of the various "(blank) Story" games by Kairosoft are pretty decent (they can be fairly addictive, though they tend to fall more into the "time waster" category). Also, if you are using an iPad (a phone screen really isn't big enough for the interface) and like puzzles/bashing your head against a wall, you might want to try SpaceChem.

Rochester, New York!

It's got all the gray skies you could ever want and I'm pretty sure it's not the murder capital of New York state anymore! What more could you ask for in a city?

Anyone else getting kinda tried of all the marketing when it comes to gpus? The sad thing is most people don't even know what these things are. I remember people saying over the wii u rumors of its gpu " wii u will use dx 11 anything else would be stupid" Why would a nintendo machine use dx 11? Have they ever heard of any other api?

An older one not long after ps3 coming out people were saying we need "ray tracing"

Nvidia has phyx!!! you cant get that on amd! what does it do? well...um.. it makes things move a bit different....

I can't really speak for dx11 and physX, but I can say that ray tracing is a real graphics thing and not just a made up catchphrase. It's a rendering process that takes (or at least it can take) a ton of computing power, but it makes (or again, can potentially make) things look reeeaal nice.

I would advise to stay clear of Afterglow controllers; I had 2 controllers break on me after maybe 20h of use.

Thanks for the heads up.

I actually hadn't considered just getting some adapters and using my 360 controller. I may have to daisy chain 3 or 4 different things to get it to work, but a few cheap cables/adapters from somewhere like Monoprice is still a lot cheaper than 1 PS3 controller.

I should have specified that I meant for use with my phone (a Galaxy Nexus, if that makes a difference). I've got a 360 controller laying around, but I didn't think that the wireless signal it used was compatible with the phone's.

If I had a PS3 or a Wii, I know I could just use those controllers, but I don't have either. Should I spring for a PS3 controller, or are there cheaper bluetooth gamepads available elsewhere?

I could also use a bluetooth keyboard, I suppose.

I think the only times I ever 100% games are when they have weird scoring systems that extend past a hundred (Fez, Castlevania: SotN, etc). That's not to say I max out the score on those, going to 212% or whatever, but if the game is set up to allow you to get that high, I generally will end up with at least 100%
