The Jeff avatar origin story!!
@steveurkel: You might be thinking of Bad North?
@loophole572: *I'm seeing septuple here, 49 Gokus!
I'm definitely looking forward to finally playing Sigil. Also, maybe one day I'll finish off Daikatana. Maybe.
The first BMZ game was so good. I guess the 3DS is dead now, so it's never gonna be released there
Is this an ad??
I'd be down for some moonlight ravioli.
@slag: There's no GameSpot-esque spreadsheet or whatever; just a bunch of personal reflection of my time with the game (and how I feel about it in comparison to the games above and below it). Specifically with SOMA, in the three years since that game was released, I've thought about it a lot - particularly its ending. It's become something I've grown to appreciate more and more.
Other games have been affected by spending more time with them (including watching playthroughs) and then reevaluating how I feel. For example, THPS 2 took a dive, in large part because of the Giant Bomb playthrough.
One day I might add commentary to the games on the list (but I probably actually won't...)
@fisk0: In an early draft of this list, I had Borderlands 1 placed above TPS, but it became increasingly hard to justify, given how much I played TPS. I put in 400+ hours into TPS, I played through the game four times, did most of the challenges, and got all but one of the achievements.
I still love the first Borderlands a lot, but I really got into TPS. I will say though that at least some of my enjoyment was the Australian-ness of it all.
X-Com 1 is fine, if not a little plain. But TFTD is really special to me. It has such a great, unsettling atmosphere to it all.
Also, yeah, I didn't really want to just edit my old list. I think it's cool to have the original as a sort of time-capsule.
