My top 11 list for 2015. It was a good year for games, I must say! It was hard for me to even get this down to 11 games. Also, gotta say, the Wii U had a bang-up year this year based on my list (and I haven't even gotten around to opening my copy of Xenoblade Chronicles X!)
Bloodborne, The Witcher 3, Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Undertale (I promise I'll finish it, internet!)
The story is anime nonsense (as Jeff would say), and to that point, I don't feel like there was even enough of it to be satisfying. But on the other hand, the gameplay is the most world class, dynamic, amazingly satisfying thing I have experienced in a good long while, so it takes the top spot for me this year.
This game shouldn't exist, and yet it does. Thanks Kojima!
This is the best puzzle game I've played since Portal 2. Highly satisfying and challenging, with an interesting narrative and world, plus multiple endings and a bevy of content. I'll be going back soon to play the DLC, which apparently is even harder than the main game (which I find unbelievable).
I normally don't get hooked on multiplayer-centric games (probably because I'm usually bad), but my wife and I played ended up playing an inordinate amount of Rocket League since it was released. The simplistic controls and gameplay combined with the high skill ceiling make for an incredibly fun and rewarding time.
