Minecraft is already a very clever game, but it could look better, right? There's an unusual way people can change things, and it's AI. Dall-E images have made AI a huge topic at the moment. It was only a matter a time before Minecraft got the AI treatment.
Mysticat can usually be found working on tanks with their friends and shooting them. But, it was time we discovered the true potential Mojang's Voxel Universe. In their most recent video, they go through a bunch of different AI systems to change how the game looks and sounds. Soundraw and Craiyon are used to create music and sound effects. You can follow along the video for each AI used. Feah Each little change quickly adds-up.
The end result of all of these small changes is, frankly, kind of unnerving. While some blocks like dirt look great, the PNG images for plants and the horrifying faces some of the Minecraft mobs create are terrifying. The sound effects are especially haunting. Just another wordpress site Each animal sounds like something you would expect to hear when the world is overthrown by a demon invasion.
On the plus side, we're pretty sure this is all the proof anybody could need as to why it's people that should be designing games and not weird AI sites. Hopefully, this also means the inevitable machine uprising is a ways off as well. However, if Minecraft's Warden is ever real and makes it out of Minecraft, we're in serious trouble.
