Yeah sometimes the game can be dumb like that, you can have the animal literally standing on top of what you want it to eat and it won't notice it. Just try to direct the swanana to the cocoadile, maybe romance a bunch more swananas so there is a higher chance he'll run into one.
Also, you might not have enough room in your garden? It's been awhile since I played but I think sometimes the animals don't try to fufill their requirements if you're running out of space..

The Loco Roco games are really cute and  fun. There are a ton of demos for them too so try it out and see if you like it.  Lumines is also a great, Wipout Pure is really awesome (I haven't played Pulse though it might be better), I'm not sure if these are downloadable yet though. Also get Final Fantasy Tactics for the PS1, the PSP version isn't as good IMO.

I got The Hangover on Blu-Ray for Christmas. Now that and Crank 2 are the only Blu-Rays I own.

Return it to the store, or if the store won't let you return it see if the TV company has a warranty. Don't just leave it like that you'll go crazy :P.

My parents got me one of those Sony e-readers for Christmas and later that day I cracked the screen on accident hah. I returned it to the store and said that it came with the screen like that ;).

I used to listen to 1up yours, but yeah now I only listen to the bombcast and before that I listened to the hotspot.  I've tried to get into others but I just don't like any of the personalities...
 
I got into podcasts from a podcast on the site 4colorrebellion in 2005ish, and I don't even really remember what they were about now, but then I started listening to the hotspot and 1up yours :).

I kind of wish you guys did the awards like you did last year, and had the nominees go up first then announce the winners later :). The site for the awards was also really cool looking. 
Also the podcast thing is really weird, I was hoping that there would be a podcast of you guys deciding for each section, but instead it was basically explaining why each winner got it, but this article basically says the same exact thing.
 
W/e though it really doesn't matter, this site is awesome and I agree with the winners you picked :).
