I'm not sure if I've just grown out of the extreme jaded perspective in regards to Jeff Gerstmanns opinions of video games sometimes or if he's just getting more vocally negative/aggressive about those opinions. I feel many of the new bombcasts I'm finding to be more and more of a bummer. I don't understand why Jeff likes to speak in such absolutes about video games, thier quality and putting down people who have different tastes than him. At this point for me personally it's just not enjoyable to listen to someone birade what seems like almost every single game that doesn't appeal to him specifically, it's so weirdly combative and it's just so pretentious sometimes. I just want to enjoy video games and listen to people who also enjoy video games, I have always appreciated the honesty and integrity of Giantbomb in terms of thier feelings about games but man, Jeff has come off as so combative as of late it's making me want to just turn off the podcast.

So I ask this, have I just changed? Or has this sort of jaded mentality really just escalated? Has anyone else been finding this vibe as of late.

Apologies for the negative post, and I do understand that a lot has been happening in the past couple of years.

I just want them to find something that makes them happy, I also selfishly really still want to be exposed to them through podcasts or video. Because this is really difficult to deal with right now the thought that i might never really see them again. It hurts.

I'm with you man, I found out yesterday and I still feel shook. I'm really trying to process it but I have this deep, sad, sinking feeling.

Sitting here at 330 in the morning with a pit in my stomach. I really can't believe how sad I feel about all this.

I'm still processing it, it's been way more difficult for me than I would have expected. These people have been there through out the last 13 years, and they were a constant form of happiness amd comfort over that time.

It feels weirdly difficult to know that they're leaving.

Yeah I'm having a really difficult time processing it to be honest. I feel extremely sad.

Oh man, I'm not ready for all of this.

I've had a series X since launch, it's a pretty cool machine.
