Games beaten in 2012

Games I officially beat in 2012. This includes story mode, clearing achievements, or going back to play through DLC.

List items

  • 715/1000. Beat January 20th. Beat it playing co-op, now to clear up collection and other random achievements before I move on to Saints Row 3 some day.

  • 1000/1000. Beat January 26th. There's a fun combination of Splinter Cell & Uncharted in here, but QTEs absolutely ruin it.

  • 705/1500. Beat January 27th. Finally beat all campaigns on Expert. Cleaning up random achievements and occasionally playing multiplayer from here on.

  • 200/250. Beat January 29th. Main story done. Now playing through Grubbins On Ice, but only when my girlfriend is here. So that might take a while.

  • 130/200. Beat February 7th. Beat the main storyline, will eventually tackle Cotton Alley and Dark Worlds. My thumbs must recover and I'll probably need a new controller, though.

  • 1055/1500. Beat February 8th. Turns out I was 2 missions away from the end when I stopped in 2010. Cleaning up random achievements now. A LOT of random achievements.

  • 1450/1500. Beat February 19th. Finished Nightmare mode and completing final achievements in the DLC.

  • 85/200. Beat February 26th. Finished the main story, need to go back and get manuscript pages and play some arcade mode. Strange "sequel" to Alan Wake... I liked it, though.

  • 1000/1000. Beat March 4th. Finished the World Tour mode. Collected all badges. Now to beat other people's scores...

  • 825/1050. Beat March 24th. Being prepared to be disappointed in the ending really helped me not hate the ending. Now to play through on Insanity (gulp.) Not looking forward to that very last battle on Insanity. At all.

  • 1175/1490. Beat The Lost Archive DLC April 2nd. It's terrible. Don't spend your money on it.

  • 14/14. Beat April 13th. Beautiful is not a word often used to describe video games, but this game earns it. Beautiful.

  • 200/200. Beat April 22nd. "Beat" the game, as far as I got the 32 cubes and saw the end. Got all 64 cubes & treasures, as well as the red blocks on April 25th. Not as impressed with the endgame as I was hoping I'd be, sadly. Of course, I gave up at around 45 cubes and used the internet since I don't have the time to become an amateur cryptologist, so I guess I didn't get the "full" experience.

  • 160/400. "Beat" on April 26th. At least, the achievement said I did. I still need to medal the Expert levels, which may never happen, though...

  • 500/500. Finished Episode 1 on May 6th, Episode 2 on July 1st, Episode 3-5 on Nov 29-30. Amazing game with amazing characters. I just hope they fix technical issues (brightness, particularly) for Season 2.

  • 200/200. Finished May 7th. I had set this aside for some reason but got the rest of the achievements then. It's a fun game that becomes less fun once the speed picks up due to the 360 controller.

  • 1015/1500. Beat Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC on May 31. Way too short. A couple achievements left to clean up there.

  • 105/200. Beat FF and Magic Sword on July 2nd. Stupid beat-em-ups, but they're good for mindless fun.

  • 890/1700. Beat July 10th. Decided to go back and finish it on Veteran. Kicked napalm barrels, which is where I was stuck previously. Finished it, and got all single player achievements. Pretty good, for a CoD story!

  • 250/250. Beat July 13th. Beat both main story and DLC. This game just keeps going on and on and on and on. Random encounters with enemies with massive amounts of hitpoints stops being fun LONG before you get to the end. Still, that puzzle gameplay is terrific.

  • 265/400. Beat all levels July 24th. Controls on the 360 aren't as good and it lacks a lot of polish... But the levels bring back good memories, so there is that. Once you get used to the controls it's not bad, I just wish there were more levels and options for shutting off individual songs or using your own soundtrack.

  • 165/1000. Beat co-op campaign on August 10th. It's one big, super-long arcade game. Fun to play co-op at least. Now to farm a whole bunch of other achievements...

  • 200/200. Beat adventure mode July 29th. Let it sit for a few years before going back. Cleared out the rest of the achievements on August 13th. Still a fun time-waster.

  • 2/??. Beat campaign mode on August 12th on PS3. Messing around with other modes now. The "Cities" level in the Beck section is the coolest area in any game I have played this year.

  • 1250/1250. Got last achievements on August 16th. I finally got all the achievements in this game. It only took 4.5 years!

  • 1000/1000. Finally got 100% on August 20th, a year to the day after I got the previous achievement. Whoever decided that getting 100% means you have to play through the entire game (all 36 levels) a minimum of 4 times needs to die in a fucking fire.

  • 1750/1750. Got last achievements on September 18th. Cleared out the rest of the achievements before diving into Borderlands 2. Too bad so many of them were collectathons, though.

  • 320/500. "Beat" the game on September 19th. No way to actually "beat" the game but I did finish all the in-game songs and unlock all the powerups, so I guess that's as close as I'll get.

  • 47/47. "Beat" the game October 13th. Built every possible floor and filled them with level 9 dream jobs. I am Jack's wasted life.

  • 43/52. Beat Wave 50 on October 19th. It's a fun tower defense type game, though beating it unlocks Endless mode, which feels like more of a punishment than a reward.

  • 860/1250. Beat on October 23rd. It's more Borderlands! That's not a bad thing! The only bad thing is it resetting all of my badass ranks, golden keys and skins. Twice. Ending was more satisfying than the first game but not really terrific.

  • 730/1195. Beat game (including DLC Ep 4) on December 7th. Crazy, fun, insane game with an ending that's bigger than I imagined. Really enjoyed this way more than I ever expected to. Been going through getting the rest of the achievements.
