GTA 5 and it's not even close. Theres a lot more variety in the missions and a lot of things to do. I also love switching between the 3 characters. GTA 4 got boring pretty quickly to me, but I am loving everything in GTA 5 so far.
I guess I have the unpopular opinion here. I believe video games can influence the minds of children. I don't blame the game, though. I blame the parents who let an 8 year old play GTA and allow him easy access to a gun. Also keep in mind that I am not saying GTA caused this, but I don't think that kids should be playing it.
I've stopped buying console games on launch and will only buy them when they are on sale. Very few games are worth 60 dollars these days. Often times, I will just buy a bunch of games during holiday sales at the end of the year, and 2013 will be filled with playing the top games from 2012. That means I am a year behind for many games, but I saved a bunch of money and have plenty of games to play.
FPS used to be my favorite genre, but now I'm sick of them. It took me a while to realize that I wasn't just going to magically start enjoying them again so I should stop buying them.
I guess Wii U. None of them really sold me on their system, but at least Wii U didn't show me a million shooters. I am so sick of guns. Right now I am pretty content with my PC/3DS combo so I may hold off on next generation for a while.
Really? The PS4 didn't seem like a solid value to you? I thought it made such a solid, all around case for being a next generation game box. All types of games, AAA shooters, RPGs, open world, online, offline and a host of indie games. Free game library with PS+, entertainment apps, bluray, etc. All for 399 to take it home? You must be hard to please, man. That's a fabulous package for the money. Even purely from a hardware standpoint. You're getting a crazy amount of value for your money.
AAA shooters - Not interested in any of them. FPS used to be my favorite genre, but I have a huge case of shooter fatigue and I can't stand any games with guns in them these days.
RPGs - The Witcher 3 is going to be solid, but I can play that on my PC. I am really interested in Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, but knowing Square, those won't be released anytime soon.
Indie games - Probably my favorite part of the PS4 conference. They showed off a strong interest in Indie developers and unveiled a bunch of cool games. The problem is that most of the games they showed are also available on the PC.
I had a PS4 on pre order, but I cancelled once I found out that Infamous isn't going to be a launch title. Since it is a 2014 title, there are no titles coming out in the launch window that make me say I need to get one ASAP. I'll wait until that system seller game finally comes out.

Absolutely not. I only played two hours of the first Mass Effect. I know a lot of people like the RPG elements, story, atmosphere, etc. better, but none of that can save a game that I simply didn't have fun playing. Mass Effect 2, on the other hand, was a blast and I will have beaten twice by the time the third one comes out which is very rare for me.
